Did Snipsly Bite The Dust?

Hi Everyone!

I got a Wizzley notice that one of my links was broken...and when I went in to fix it, I saw it was a Snipsly article I did a long time ago. So....then I tried to log into Snipsly, but it is GONE...POOF!

Hard to imagine there wouldn't be an email notice from Snipsly if the site was shutting down...

Anyone know?

The only comment I found about it was one person saying it has had 403 errors for days - but is that why the link would be broken then?

I know I have 30 days to "fix" the link...just wait and see?

I don't know what happened with Snipsly, but last time I checked the site, it was loaded with duplicated content (not even spun, but real duplicated), so I suppose last updates of SE algos didn't bring anything good to the traffic. Spammers are killing the internet, so Snipsly was probably just another victim...

I wrote on there when I was just branching out...

I would imagine I'd have quite a few broken links then? I can't remember...haven't written there in  a long time...

But I would sure hope they'd announce a "we're closing our doors, grab your articles by such and such date if you want 'em," etc...

Actually, Snipsly is a ghost town overrun by spammers, comments turned off - looks like admin abandoned the site a year ago? I haven't written there in ages, but had a lot of articles there. 2/3 are bumped into draft status, you can't contact support...lovely.

Between that, Squidoo tanking, 1/3 of Hubs in draft...I tell ya, it's one thing to write but not rank, it's quite another to write for no reason, have them disappear and go backwards....

Jim and I have just had it in so many ways...

We signed up for Amazon's CamperForce program for 9 weeks, where you get a free rv site, work like dogs in the fulfillment center, and make a boat load of money those 9 weeks...enough to carry us through the whole year.

After that, we're thinking we're just turning the computer off...period. Right now, it just doesn't feel worth it anymore....
