I went to Google Analytics and checked my account. I have 4 accounts, each one for a different site. I've read Paula's articles but when I go there I get a little confused and I've read through the forum threads but still confused. Here are questions.
- Do I need to set up a separate account for Wizzley? Or should I just set one up?
- Will I need a profile for each page or then set up a profile, too, in addition to the account?
- Or does it go under some main number I haven't seen?
I haven't gotten as far as trying to deal with GA over at Squidoo, probably for a similar reason, but I want to get it established here. I'm not sure which UA to use or just open an account or a profile or what. Probably because I don't completely understant GA yet but am working on it.

I'll try and help. For Wizzley, I just added a new profile to an existing account. The difference is, a new account will give you a new main number, where a new profile will give you the same number with a "-2" or "-3" on the end.
Add a new profile by clicking Add Website Profile in bottom left. New accounts can be added by clicking the new account drop down in the upper right of the screen once you are logged into GA.
You don't need a different ID for each Wizzley article as a single GA ID will track all of them.
As for Squidoo, it doesn't have the option, and they have recently removed the ability to add a tracking code in your profile, so the work around doesn't work anymore.
I hope this helps and I love seeing the GA stats for my Wizzley articles.

Thank you, Thom. So it really doesn't matter whether I have the tracking profile for Wizzley under my blog's name. It doesn't impact the blog? It's just a matter of tracking specific pages?
I think I understand a bit better. Thanks again.

I have several GA accounts, too, Vikk, simply because I set up separate Google accounts for my individual clients.
I used my main Google account to set up a new GA profile for wizzley.com. Then I took that profile-specific "UA-xxxxxx" ID and entered it in my Wizzley settings.
After a couple of days, GA tracked all my Wizzley pages.
The confusing part is when you are in your Google account and want to add the Wizzley profile, Google asks you to register a "new account", but actually meaning a new profile in your existing account.

Oh, maybe that's why I was getting confused because I was having trouble figuring out the profile and not the new account. :) Okay, I think I now know what to do. Thanks to you both. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

Okay, I entered my tracking number in Wizzley. Now we wait. :)
And I have to figure out Google Adsense and all that channel mess. :)

I am trying to follow this...so what is my URL that I add for my Wizzley Domain...is it the one that shows my profile?
Also it says create a new profile for a new domain, or one for an existing domain...which one do I check?

Kathy, just add profile for a new domain. Enter http://wizzley.com as the URL.

Thank you...I just did that after finding a Wizzley article by AJ G. on how to add it to our Wizzley account. Now, there is a little triangle with an exclamation point on the GA site....says the tracking code isn't installed, but I am thinking/hoping it's cuz it needs some time for them to register it. Is this right?

Yes, it might take a few hours, but you should start to see some results within a day or so.
