If anyone knows how the revenue is shared from eBay modules, it will help me to understand how it works. I am not an eBay affiliate so should I showcase eBay products or not?

Go in via VigLinks. If you're an affiliate there, then eBay will be monetized via your account there. However, it's a little bleurrgghhh at the moment. I used to make a bit of a trickle from eBay, but they changed the rules. You now only get commission if something is bought outright, or within 24 hours, assuming no other cookie got lodged and/or the cache wasn't cleared. The bottom line being that I personally find eBay not worth the module space. But then I may be doing it wrong. Digby was doing alright there at one point, so she may have better tips. I still do pretty well with eBay, although my sales are down from last year. I have started using Amazon and eBay both though so this may have affected my sales. I also am an enthusiastic advocate of using Viglinks. |

Thanks Jo and Digby. I need to explore Viglinks and understand how to use it.

I am still trying to get Viglink to work for me here, after abandoning it several times, because it was not registering my Wizzley Amazon clicks. It has been an exercise in frustration. One Viglink customer service rep totally blew me off about a year ago. I'm now working with another one who has been much more helpful, but I have yet to hear back from him, after filing a service request yesterday. Yesterday, once again, I installed Viglink here. It is picking up my Amazon clicks, but not monetizing them. The first rep told me he had to specifically approve me for Amazon on Viglink, and that it is not automatic. It most certainly isn't automatic. Strangely, though, Viglink works very well for me on two of my blogs and on Seekyt. I don't believe this is a problem on Wizzley's end, but rather on Viglink's end. Anyway, the moral of the story is that anyone who signs up for Viglink here needs to follow through to make sure their Amazon sales will definitely be credited. Just in case anyone doesn't believe me, I took a screenshot of my Viglink Wizzley channel. You can see that there are clicks, but they are not monetized. This is in contrast to the green symbol I see when someone clicks on one of the links on my blogs, or on Seekyt. I'm hoping this will finally get straightened out so I can use Viglink here. I know others are using it without any problems. Is there any way to post a screenshot here? |

I think it's just Amazon being Amazon. They are totally paranoid about letting someone into their program from a state that has passed an affiliate nexus tax. There are 35,000 other merchants to use. Amazon isn't the only way to make money online. If you look at some of the commissions available from other merchants they start at 12 or 15 percent. |

Hi Digby, I know Amazon has tightened up its requirements a lot and there is the nexus issue, but it seems as if it's a Viglink problem right now. specifically as it relates to my Wizzley channel. This problem is not happening on my other Viglink channels, just this one. That's why newbies that sign up for Viglink here, hoping to monetize their Wizzley pages, need to double check that all is working. |

WriterArtist I just remembered that I had to email Viglink and tell them that I wanted to be apart of the eBay program. That was a while ago, so I'm not sure if that is still necessary. |

Hi Digby, I don't mean to be argumentative, and I'm sorry if I came across that way. It's just that I'm hoping this can finally be cleared up. |

ologsinquito no worries Amazon frustrates me no end. That's why I tend to look, for other affiliate programs to support. |

I just want my Wizzley account to be fully wired with Viglink, like two of my blogs are. I'll keep you posted. |

Is there any article that explains how to use Viglink? What about the eBay modules ? How to enable it for Viglink? |

WriterArtist, Viglink makes a lot of sense here, but I think you have to follow it through very closely to see if it's working for you. The people it's working for are reporting wonderful results. Getting it working seems to be the key. You could always try it, and see what happens. You probably want to do this well before the Christmas shopping season, so you're testing something then. |

@ologsinquito - I think it is a good idea. There is a learning curve for anything anytime and hope I get the nuances quickly. |

Digby, now that I'm finally fully wired for Viglink on Wizzley, I'd love to hear some tips on how to make it work. I know you've done very well with it. Are you able to use merchants other than eBay, Zazzle and All Posters? |

Woot! You got it to work! I always forget about VigLink until Digby chats about it in threads like this, then I resolve to try it out properly. I did a couple of wedding articles recently focusing on VigLink affiliated stuff, which were Digby inspired. I now have to follow through with more. If you go to Viglink, you can browse through 35,000 merchants. I spend way too much time there. This an amazing opportunity to really learn affiliate marketing without having to have a website. All you have to do is download a picture and then make a text link. Viglink will affiliate it. Some of the commissions available are 15 percent. I would suggest you just find a niche you love and then try and find products that aren't available on Amazon. I actually haven't been using All Posters or Zazzle. I just focus on the merchants available and try to find the right niches. |

It sounds as if you are doing well. Now I have the ability to do that here. I finally heard from Viglink support today, and the person who looked into this said my Wizzley site campaign had never been approved, which is why I wasn't able to earn anything on my Wizzley channel, but, for some reason, was able to on my other channels. |
