Image in Google Search Results Missing

I've just noticed that my image in the google search results has disappeared.

Certainly a few days back, I was seeing my wizzley profile pic (or it could have been my G+ pic as same one) next to each article in the google search results.

Now suddenly it has disappeared and yet I've changed nothing. I do think having that image generally results in better click throughs - so I prefer to have it there.

I'm wondering if this has something to do with making a mobile version of Wizzley? Or some coding on the backend which has upset this.

Anyone else notice this?

Another possibility: Google has lots of servers and all of which yield slightly different search results. Maybe the author image feature is not yet supported on all Google servers ...

To give you an update:

Inside the Wizzley code, everything seems to be just fine. For your image to appear inside Google search results, three steps are required:

• Link from your article to your author page using rel="author'
• Link from your author page to Google profile page using rel="me"
• Link from your Google profile page to your author page using rel="me"

The first two steps are taken care of by Wizzley automatically. However, you need to place a backlink inside your Google+ profile, pointing to your author page on Wizzley. This backlink is necessary for Google as proof that you are actually the author of those articles.

OK my Image is now back.

I know exactly what the problem was in case anyone else encounters this problem.

I had everything set up right on Google Plus and everything was set up right on Wizzley.

The single difference I noticed when looking at other people's Wizzley Author pages was that some people had a section called 'Looky Here' which wasn't visible on my author page.

I checked my settings and my G plus profile was in there - so why was it not displaying like on my author page like it was for other people?

Well the simple addition of adding in a website as well under the blog section in settings has resulted in the 'Looky Here' section appearing - and, several days later, guess what! I have my author image displayed in the Google results next to my Wizzley pages.

Very odd one but glad it's been sorted.
