The title explains the help I need.
I have requested an edit. But if that is not forthcoming I would like to edit not remove.
Is there any way I can delete a portion of a comment? | |

Only the commenters can edit their comments (up to 30 mins. after placing them). Achim "Chef Keem" Thiemermann is the co-founder of a pretty cool new platform called...um...er...oh, yeah - Wizzley.com.

Would you guys consider giving the page owner/wizard the ability to edit comments (indefinitely)? The reason being 1. Chazes need, and 2. if someone spams my article with a link to a site but they wrote a compelling and well thought out (specific not general spam bs) post I'd like to be able to keep the post but remove the link or url in it. Seems a waste to have to throw the baby out with the bathwater where a good post is and the link I don't want in there... My current way of preserving that comment is to create a guest comment section and put it there, but that's work... and 3. So I can edit grammar mistakes and spelling so my page stays cleaner to the bots scanning the pages content (comments count as page content) Jerrico |

Nope, don't agree with this. I would would not want a comment of mine I left on someones page (not necessarily on Wizzley.com) changed after I have left one. I would see that as being totally rude and would have nothing to do with the spirit of what I wrote. |

While I agree with the wish to be able to edit comments, I also agree with the indignation I would feel if someone edited a comment I wrote. I would also be negatively inclined to participate on that writer's pages after that. |

It would open the door to abuse. Some authors would change all their comments into glowing reviews of their articles. Achim "Chef Keem" Thiemermann is the co-founder of a pretty cool new platform called...um...er...oh, yeah - Wizzley.com.
