I read in the TOS that Wizzley doesn't allow articles on hacking.
I was taking that as a blanket ban, but I just wanted to clarify it please. I'm assuming that articles on downloading and using LOIC are completely out. That's fine. But what about subjects about hackers or historical/current events involving hackers or hacktivists?
For example, could I review the book 'Ghost in the Wires'? This is about Kevin Mitnick, who was once America's most famous hacker.
I managed to write three SOPA articles without once mentioning Anonymous, but there was so much else going on to talk about. I've avoided doing anything about ACTA, because the most interesting and newsworthy events surround Poland and the continued attacks on the Polish government's websites.
I've also skirted around the edges, in my story about Runescape bot-makers being defeated in the courts. Their programs are basically hacks dressed up as bots. I focused on the judiciary and the game elements, rather than the crime itself.
Am I being too cautious on that 'no hacking' rule?
