Question regarding the pie chart: is it showing traffic cumulatively from day one? Or does it just show stats for the most recent week or month or something? Sorry if this should be obvious, I'm statistically ignorant.

I think the pie chart uses the same dates as the line graph above it. My line graph spans from June 2nd - June 22nd. -Christene

I think Christene's correct. Will verify and let you know if this is incorrect. Achim "Chef Keem" Thiemermann is the co-founder of a pretty cool new platform called...um...er...oh, yeah - Wizzley.com.

I really like the statistical pie charts. Numbers are what push me. However, I am not very familiar with all of the sites that are included on the pie charts. I am not very knowledgeable about different sites. Is there anywhere I can find out what some of them are? Thanks for any info anyone can give me. |

These are mostly bookmarking sites and social networks such as facebook, stumbleupon, twitter, etc. The abbreviations often refer to the tools or URL shorteners used to post the links. I don't know all of them, either, Caroline. But there are all kinds of backlink checkers available, either as freestanding sites or as browser add-ons, if you really want to dig deeper into this. I don't really care too much about the origin of everything. Google.com is the most important one, anyway. Hi there, P.S. I calculated the number, and it's slightly higher than the number for August 9, so maybe it's adding up the first visitors of August 10 as well. Other than that, I see now we have a keyword list at the bottom, which is really nice. |

Hi Mira, good guess :) But there's a different reason: Until yesterday, the pie chart showed our detected distribution of traffic sources. However, the number of visitors depicted with this chart was calculated from the total number of visitors in the concerning time span. This is/was basically a pretty good extrapolation, but it wasn't the real data. The problem is: we detect most of our visitors correctly - just like Analytics does. But not all of which do tell us where they come from. You can suppress this in your browser. So there's quite a difference between the number of unique visitors (chart line) and the number of detected referers. Since we are now showing every single referer in the table below, we decided to show now the actually detected number of referers in the pie chart, too - in contrast to the estimation based on all visitors. Thus, the number of visitors in the pie chart does not match the number of unique visitors in the chart line above any longer. What's even more important: Our referer data had to be reset for our huge update at the end of July. And so, the pie chart shows only visitors since that time. It will fill up in the next couple of months ... and then the numbers will be pretty high again. Although still lower than the number of unique visitors. Hu! That was a bit complicated - sorry! Cheers :) |

Hi Simon, Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. It all makes sense now :-) Mira |
