A few weeks ago (maybe a few months ago) I put one of my published pages into trash because the company whose items I was featuring is no longer associated with Shareasale. I just realized that "trashed" lenses still show up in the trash, and that particular page, even though it's in the trash, shows visits for the last week and month. Remember, I put this in trash some time ago.
But also at the top of that page, there's the "locked" blurb -- saying I can't republish it because I didn't pay attention to a previous warning that said I didn't have enough words per ads (actually I have many more words than the warning says I need.)
I don't want to republish it, and will delete it soon, but the locked warning is weird, and the number of visitors showing is weird. How can I be getting visitors to a locked, trashed page? Bots?

That's definitely curious - I was under the impression that unpublished pages are unreachable by anyone other than you and the admins.
I'm at a loss - it's an interesting find though! - Perhaps provide a link to the article in question and we can see if it's accessible?

Just had a thought a second too late to add it into my above post, could it still be indexed by Google and the hits are resulting in a 404, but you're still getting hits counted?

Hi Paul,
I thought the pages were unreachable too, but I do see counts for the week / month / 90 days.
Interestingly enough, I was able to re-publish it just now even though the warning blurb said I would't be allowed to. Here the counts show 3 views for this week (same as in "trash"), and reset to 3 views for the month / 90 days (under "trash" it was higher for month / 90 days).
So maybe it's just a glitch with counting.
I'm going to go ahead and re-"trash" it, because I don't really want that page anymore :-)
Thanks for your ideas!

I was gone for the last few hours, so I couldn't comment sooner on this issue. I don't really have much to say about it anyway, other than: watch if it continues counting visits, and then have Simon take a look. Perhaps there is some kind of glitch in our system.

I second that guess ;-) SY

I don't know how that works, but it sounds reasonable
