Viglink ???

I've reviewed the forum threads on this and revisited the pdf of the Viglink Web meeting.  I still have a question I'm not sure of.

While inserting links to your wizzes referring viglink products related to your wizz manually I visit the

Check VigLink merchant coverage area to make certain the site is a go, then I use the said url pasting into the link tool on my wizz making the text a hyper link.

This is where my confusion lies, I do want to get this right...

Sometimes the link includes what appears to be an affiliate link and other times it does not.

For example;

http://www.ice.com/?siteID=je6NUbpObpQ-7bWnJLDp8GHoowqvIhcTQw

or

http://www.ashford.com/ashford/index.jsp?AID=10474050&PID=4003003&SID=31yhnix0r8xo&URL=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.ashford.com%252F&ref=39&CJPID=4003003&loc=01

or often

http://www.bluenile.com/?pubid=k244266&lid=j26493690k244266&sid=bnus_733378683

my latest Victoria Secret shows as this;

http://www.victoriassecret.com/

So my question is should I be adding my affiliate code to the url links I paste into the hyper link creator or not???

If you want Viglink to be the company monetizing the link, just make a straight link to the page you want.  Do not add your affiliate info.  They do that automatically.  So, for instance, if you are creating a link to Walmart, you would create the link as http://walmart.com/whatever page it is

Right, that's what I've been doing!  Since I have my affiliate info plugged into my settings its a given as is all the other money making opportunities.

Good to know all I need do is check to make certain its with our viglink sites list and then use the simple link.

Thanks :)

Thank you both for making this clearer. No wonder I'm not making any money. I've got a lot of work to do.

If I can also ask: does this also apply to amazon links?  When I am linking to an amazon product from an image or from the text of the page, should I be using my amazon aff URL or should I let Viglink do it?

Thanks for this!

I was just coming to the forum to ask yet another Viglink question.

I understand that when I use Wizzley's Amazon modules, my Amazon affiliate sales are MINE as always...as long as I stay in the Amazon module (or Zazzle, etc.).

But I had an odd thing happen just now when making a new page. There was an item sold out on other common places (best buy, target, walmart) but available on Amazon. I just wanted a text link for this...not pushing the sale. So I did the Viglink link in a text module that goes to Amazon.

THAT WON'T INTERFERE with other Amazon items/revenue I'm promoting inside Amazon modules, right? Amazon modules are still mine alone...no Viglink in there, correct?

Thanks!

VigLink will automatically affiliate links outside of the module. No need to use your own code.
