I didn't want to derail Tess's topic about the stats, so I decided to create a new topic on Viglink Stats.
I use them a lot to figure out what's going on with my Wizzles. First the data tells me all of the merchants that I've had clicks from. Then it tells me which Wizzle generated the click and tells me how much it was worth. The feature I love most is that it tells me which link created the click. If I see that the same link is generating a lot of clicks, then I go to the Wizzle and see where that link is on the page. That's been a real eye opener. It's fascinating to see a link at the bottom of the page beat out others. I love to read the copy and see if it was something that I wrote.
It also tells me which products were sold, but it doesn't tell me which page. I can spend hours with this data. I think it's some of the most useful, when it comes to understand the way any of my webpages create income
There's been a bit of a learning curve learning to merchandize and deal with so many merchants and products. Sometimes it makes me dizzy. But I think the possibilities are endless. While other revenue sharing sites are limiting their monetization schemes, I really think that this is the most exciting with the most potential.

Tess I just go to my Viglink Dashboard and click on the weekly stats to see this information.

I have absolutely no idea what is going on in there. obviously you're getting sales from wiglink. I get nothing. There is nothing to click on. I now see that I've got Squidoo and Wayfair in my stats. Where that comes from I have no idea.

It took me a while to work it out, but this is what I do. (Is it the right way?)
- Go to your Viglink 'Dashboard'.
- On the right hand side there's a box which is labelled 'Souce' - make sure this is set to 'Parent Sites'
- On the Dashboard you will see a calendar with days of the month.
- If you have made any money that month it will be shown in green on the day of the month.
- Click on the green figures and it will take you to 'Weekly Dashboard' with a row of options along the top to click on to find out more details, i.e. Revenue, Merchant, Links, Clicks, Pages, Sales. This gives in depth information about your sales.
Not sure if it's the best way...but I find it very useful.
Best wishes, Kathleen

I suspect I don't have something quite right in my VigLink set up.
When I go to "Sources" I only see "Primary - Link Insertion" but no choice for "Parent Sites". I only have a few links, but no activity.
Please advise, if anyone can point me in the direction to figure out what I haven't done to get my links on Wizzley recognized.
Thanks!

I am clueless when it comes to VigLink also. I've made a big fat 0 for all time. Of course, like Kim I have only a few links. I'm going back through all my articles and add some.

I'm not talking about signing up.
1. I go to viglink.com
2. I click on the link "Dashboard"
3. All I see is Wizzley
4. It looks like a monthly Calendar.
5. I click on the Weekly Totals to the right that are highlighted in green
Then I see all of the data I described above.

It has taken me awhile to feel comfortable with Viglink, but now I'm a huge fan.

Cool - I've made 31 cents this month. I see the parents sites selection but I don't see anything that says Wizzley. But I assume it's set up right if I'm seeing money. I'll need to start using it more. Right now I only use it for eBay. Thanks!

Kimbesa and Brenda - make sure you followed our sign-up instructions for a specific VL account through Wizzley. Also, see http://wizzley.com/viglink for more info.
That's all the support we can give you from our side. The rest is between you and VL.

Contact Viglink for help. I had a few problems at the beginning, but they were very nice and we figured it out eventually.

Thanks! I'll pick up the trail.
Since I'm not seeing either Parent Sites or Wizzley, there's probably something I missed in the initial set up.

Ah, those pesky instructions.
Gotta pay attention to the details!
I'd used a different email address than the one I have for Wizzley, for Viglinks. When I saw "Parent" in the confirmation, I started breathing easier.
So now I have 2 Viglink accounts. The first one for my WordPress blogs, all well and good.
And a new one for Wizzley. I went in and updated my text links in my articles here, just to be on the safe side.

I don't make great sums with Viglink but I do make some money which I think justifies putting in the links. On one of my pages last week I made 60c. I know in the scheme of things that's not a great deal of money, but I think it came from just one visit. I usually get a payout from them each month of a dollar/two dollars. I think it's worth it.

Hollie I spent a couple of hours last week just going through all of the Viglink merchants trying to see what kinds of products I could find. It was amazing how many cross merchandizing ideas I got. I think it's a real opportunity to give our Wizzles a unique spin.
The beauty of Viglink is that it's all one payout. You don't have to make $25 with each merchant. So it's okay to combine things from several companies.

I have a question about VigLink. I signed up through Wizzley and have 11 clicks on my VigLink dashboard but no money. What's up? Did I not sign up correctly or do not all clicks earn money?

It depends upon the merchant. With eBay that would usually lead to money because eBay pays by the click. But if you have other merchants, a click through doesn't generate income unless they buy something, just like any other affiliate program.

Okay, thanks for the info, Digby. I'm not entirely sure I am signed up correctly so sent VigLink support an email. We'll see.

I'll keep saying this, my first month with Viglink was chaotic and frustrating. I just kept working with their Customer Service and it eventually all got sorted out. Now I love sorting through the merchants looking for unique items.
So just hang in there and it'll be fine.

I'm glad I checked here. I thought I'd signed up correctly but am really not sure.
