Hi!
I'm April, I live in Scotland and I'm really pleased to have stumbled across this site! I'm really looking forward to getting to know some people here and also having somewhere to publish some of my writing.
I've just joined today, so forgive me if I have daft questions!
I signed up to Viglink, and I've published one article with links in but they don't seem to 'do' anything. How do I tell if they're working? Is it possible to add a picture from amazon UK to the links, for instance, and how do I make the links look nicer?
Thank you!
Happy new year!

Hi there And welcome! Viglink can be tricky if you're not too familiar. Basically you have to highlight a word or phrase your article and link it to one of viglinks merchants' products. As for amazon uk, I'm no help there because I'm in the US. Luckily there are lots of Britons here and they'll be eager to help.

I am no use for viglink, but there is an amazon module on your page that you can click. Just click it and it will produce a box that allows you to type in search terms for products that you want to advertise

Thanks for the lovely welcome!
I think I've come up with a working solution, involving using links within text and Amazon US modules (I luckily already had accounts for both the UK and US versions).
Does anyone know if you have to add every article's URL to Amazon, or if thy figure it out themselves, please?

Welcome April... Look at this Wizzley help page which will tell you exactly how to work the Amazon (and other affiliate) stuff.

Hello April! Look forward to your posts! You're brave to try to figure out Viglink so soon. I still haven't. Am doing only Amazon and Zazzle so far.

Hi April,
Welcome to Wizzley! I'm in Scotland too. Whereabouts are you?
I temporarily tried Vigilinks and gave up with it after a while. I wasn't seeing anything, not even clicks, so I don't think the account was set up right. I'll stick with the separate Amazon, AllPosters and Zazzle for now until I have more time to check Vigilinks out again.

Thanks everyone!
I'm just outside Edinburgh, so we have flood warnings today. :) Since you're in the same country I assume you had the same yesterday or do today, so I hope you're ok! :)

Hello and Welcome April - I am not very up on technology, but hope you figure it out with Viglink. I am having a bit of a problem with it at present...
Hope you enjoy writing here - I am sure you will as it is so user-friendly. I look forward to reading your articles. Hope you avoid the floods!
All the best, Kathleen

I'm just south of Hamilton but on a bit higher ground (Larkhall). We've not had any flood warnings, that I've seen, but the weather has been pretty miserable. My husband's family is in Dundee, and they've said it seems worse than our weather! Hope you're not affected too much.

I'm testing Viglink on another platform and I'm curious to see what happens. I tried it here for a couple of weeks, but I was never sure if I was using it correctly.

I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I only have a few articles there, so it's going to take months. Nothing seems to happen anywhere unless you have a large collection of articles.

Hi April and welcome from this adopted fen tiger in the East of England. It's raining here too if that helps!
Good to see another UK face around. Good luck with your articles. I look forward to reading them.
Described by one of my clients as 'a literary grammarian', writing, researching and reading are requirements for sanity, at least this side of the keyboard.

Thank you. :)
It seems like a really good community of writers here. I'm so impressed with some of the things I've read - the quality seems very high!
