Unable to Add Images from Viglink Sites

Hello wizzley friends, i hope you are all fine, just a small problem i am facing. I want to add products in my posts from viglink linked sites also apart from amazon, but i am unable to do so.

When i open the image module, i enter the image url, title of the product, and then also click "show image titl" "show image source" and "link image to source" but still the image does not take me to the product website.

Can you please help me out as to how can i add the image which will take the reader to that product website. I want to earn from viglink but i am unable to do so. Please help

I'm not sure I get what you mean. Are you having problems adding the image or are you saying that once you click the image you're not taken to a particular product page?

Thanks, actually i am able to add the image but when you click on the image you are not taken to that particular website, that's the issue. 

I'm not sure because I've not tried it. But from what you say I guess the image isn't linked to the page. Instead, the source may just be mentioned and hyperlinked there. If that's the case maybe that should be a feature wizzley should add.

Yeah you are right, in fact if we want to monetise viglink, it should be done through images as well and not just adding text links because the text can be made eye catchy only through images,  but anyways, it appears i can just add text and then add the links. Ah, no, the image module hasn't the capacity to do that.  The URL will only ever be for the text underneath.

I've never tried this, but if I was going to attempt what you're after, I'd go via the text module.  Open that up and add your picture.  Then look to the top toolbar. Click the button for HTML.

You'll be presented with something looking like this:

<p><img src="URL of the picture"/></p>

You need to wrap it in a tags, like so:

<p><a href="URL of the product"><img src="URL of the picture"/></a></p>

It may work, or it may not.  I'm not sure what HTML Simon has activated here.

Alternatively, open up a text module, add your picture, then highlight your picture and add the URL in the usual way, via the link/chain icon on the top toolbar.

I hope this was useful, and I'm not about to break Wizzley... again.

PS  Yes, it works!  I've just added this gorgeous fairy picture from Pixabay using the second method.  However, Simon has very wisely added a no hotlinking protection on it.  Good man!  The point stands though.  It'll work via the text module.

Thanks Jo, You are lovely as always and i just hope it works, i wil be working for it in my next post, and i think the second method is easier though. I want to add images because then the posts have a better choice of being pinned to pinterest and we can earn in a better way from viglink.
