Reminder for Chitika users

If you use Chitika instead of Adsense we would like to point out that you need to disable their "Apps" for automatic text links (called Linx), Hover ads (those slide-in overlay thingies), and Highlight ads for use on Wizzley.com.

We don't have the option to control these features on our end, so you'd have to go into your Chitika dashboard, look under the menu item "Domains & Apps", and uncheck all 3 default settings.

Some of these features don't play nice with our layout, and quite frankly, don't look very appealing to our visitors. We're happy to provide this Adsense alternative but kindly request that you refrain from using their "apps" on Wizzley.

I did not quite understand - if you disable all the Apps, how will Chitika adds show.  I do not have an Adsense account.

This doesn't affect your regular ads. Just their special features, the auto-inserted text-links, the floating hover ads and highlighter ads.

I had this switched on for months after it was released.  Then I experimented with switching it off - all the time assuming that it would dent my commission.  It didn't.  It actually boosted it!

I have mine permanently switched off now.

I've just returned to Wizzley after a long absence due to house move that went wrong (I ended up in rented accommodation for two months while my stuff was stored - a real nightmare).  Not straight yet as I've downsized from a big house to a flat, but getting there.  Just unpack the books from the last 20 boxes or so, get the shelves up, dispose of some of the pictures and ornaments and it will be easy-peasy.

Meantime, I've pulled out of Chitika after having not one cent on my account.  I didn't expect much after only, what was it, 25 articles I think, but a hint of 20c or so would have been nice.  So, I'm back with Google AdSense - at least they still pay me something for my blog, now closed.

I want to sign up with Posters as well.  Can anyone tell me what URL they want from me?

I'll be checking in again from time to time. Nice to see all the old names are still contributing.

I looked under the dashboard and it wasn't selected.  However I don't think the ads are displaying the way they should.  How do I fix this?
