Thank you for this site, chefkeem. I hadn't heard of it before.
I have been using morguefile for some of my picture needs. These can be used without attrition and for commercial use also. A lot of the authors do ask that you let them know where they are being used.

I had been puzzled about the pictures. I saw somewhere where it said to only use pictures that you had the copyright for, which (I think) wouldn't include anything that you hadn't taken, inherited, or bought. But, reading this, I am thinking that wasn't exactly what was meant. I sometimes use Morguefile, where things are pretty much public domain -- attribution not required. I am guessing now Morguefile is ok?
On Squidoo, I believe the culture now favors crediting even when it's not required, and that a lot of lensmasters like to know where the photos came from, even if you took them yourself. Now I am wondering how to identify photos on Wizzley. If I took them? If someone else did? (Hope this is an ok thread to ask this.)

Hi Karen, and welcome to Wizzley!
It's very straight-forward: If a site (photo source) doesn't require attributions, then you don't have to add them to your pics.
If you use your own pictures, you don't have to add attributions, but you might want to let people know what a savvy photographer you are. It's up to you.

Hi Chef!
I have been trying to upload a photo from clker for my most recent Wizzle. I keep getting this notice: An unhandled exception was thrown by the application.
Does this mean there's something from clker that disallows use of the image or something from Wizzley or just some odd thing from my own computer? I've tried a couple of images from the same place and a couple of sizes to see if that was the issue.
Thanks,
Sheilamarie

I would wait a little, then restart the browser (perhaps even empty the cache), and then try again to upload your pic. Most likely, it's a temporary bug in the editor.

You can go to pixabay.com and select clipart (in the type menu). Pixabay will increase the number of cliparts soon :-)

I love pixabay, a picture is worth a thousand words, well not in terms of content, but certainly adds much value.

I use mostly clker.com, openclipart.org and scans from our books. For photos I believe unprofound.com is worth checking out. Not so many photos as in pixabay.com, but some variety is always good.

This looks an excellent source of images and a new one to me. I normally look for public domain ones or use my own. Thanks for sharing this!
