Excellent article, thanks for posting the link Chef. One thing that should be noted by all authors that want to utilise the benefits of G authorship: "Authorship may increase Google search clickthrough rates. You probably feel that you are naturally drawn to a search result with an image beside it. According to one study, adding Authorship to links increased Google search CTR by 150%." This relates to photo images being presented next to Google search results. IMHO you should ensure that you have a professional looking G+ profile image instead of one that relates to other profile images where you write your articles. A pro photo will make a lot of difference to your clickthrough rate and to commensurate earnings. You should no longer hide behind indeterminate avatars on G+ if you want to be 'in the game'. I noticed many authors are not using Google+. Its a fantastic way of boosting your search engine visibility. After setting up my Wizzley profile and my G+ profile to point at each other traffic to my articles has gone up at least 25%. Same goes for Squidoo, Hubpages and Infobarrel. And to tell you the truth I don't even have people on my circles. |

That makes me wonder: Do you point the website you're contributing to to the url of your author page, or just "wizzley.com"? |

Okay, thanks chef. I'll do it once I become a trusted writer; must be ineffective while my profile is still no-index. |
