I am just so EXCITED! I finally found something on GA that is useful to me. Looking at visits wasn't too helpful since I can get those and more right on Wizzley.
Well, I discovered, while looking in the Content section, under "in page analytics" that it will show me the actual page and where exactly the clicks were on that page! It also shows across the top, Page views, Unique Page views, Avg. Time on Page, Avg. Page Load Time (sec), Bounce Rate%, Exit.
After Jo's great articles on bounce rate, I can now see where my links are and which ones are getting clicked on.

OK maybe everybody else already knew that.

I just checked my analytics for my Zazzle holiday store and my blog and Wizzley are the top referrers. It's a new store, so getting some traffic to it for the holidays is what I've been working toward, and it seems that Wizzley is a big influence.
The bounce rate is always high it seems, and I agree that Jo's article was very helpful to me as well Lana.
I'm not much for stats and figures, but analytics can be helpful and you can add it to Zazzle (as I mentioned.)

Yes, I discovered it for Zazzle too. What it shows me is what items get the most looks. Then maybe I should concentrate on that category for a while and see what happens. Yes!!!

Great reminder, Lil. I do look at the GA but hadn't thought of opening the contents page. Thanks.

I've stared at GA for years with no clue of what it meant. FINALLY I found a use for it!
And I was SHOCKED to discover that Wizzley is not my top referrer! My WEB site is. I hardly ever update it but I did stick a link on there and it's way above any of the others! Who knew?

*adds my Zazzle store to GA* I knew that. *sheepish look*
Now I'm off to find the feature that Lana's found.

I forgot to mention that if you leave GA open and then open the page you've got the GA account set to in another tab, it shows all the info at the top of the page. It's easier to navigate that way.

Have any of you used the page under "custom" - "visitor's flow" (it's in the standard reporting section)? That is a good one but I can't get it to open the page wide enough to see it all. The "2nd interaction" is cut off.
Also what is a "non-bounce" view? Would that be when sale is made?
I could spend the whole day at Analytics trying to figure it all out.

When I moved my cursor to the right bottom of the page, it turned into a hand. Then it dragged the page like the maps do. There was even a zoom thingie that popped up. See if that works for you.
Then explain this page to me....

Also, I just discovered that on the full page analytic thing, there's a bent arrow in the upper right. That enlarges the page. You don't have to open in a new window.

Thanks Lana, that works! I am a tech dummy.
This page is useful to see how people found your page. It's easy to follow the blue lines to see where they went from their first view -follow the blue lines.
Also use the green drop-down (upper left) to choose how you want to see that traffic. So far I've found that choosing "source" and "keyword" helps me the most.

I really like it for Wizzley, but it's a bit more difficult to understand for Zazzle since the page names really mean nothing in many cases.
