Getting indexed and getting ranked are two different beasts altogether. Nowadays, it's not uncommon to get indexed within minutes, but of course we'd like to know that we are actually getting exposure in an actual search query.
The simplest method to find out if your page is ranking for your keywords is to type them into the Google search window and look over the (organic) results. On average, there are 10 results per page, so if your Wizzley article appears on page 3 it is ranked somewhere between position number 20 and 30.
So, for example, for my page "Writing Quality Articles on Wizzley (and beyond)" I typed in the phrase: writing quality articles
The result? It currently shows up on the second page, at position 18. Out of 214,000,000 results. That's not too shabby for a brand new website.
What's your experience? Are any of your wizzleys (or wizzes, wizz-pages...) ranking yet? And on what position? With how many competing results?

My page on funny time management quotes currently ranks 8th out of 2,620,000 results. The keyword is same as the title. So, certainly one can take advantage if they choose low competitive keywords. |
