There are three colours - the first two grays and the upper blue, if I remember correctly, where the text title colour is orange. Is it possible to match the text title colour with the background colour? It would be more attractive, IMHO.

I've often wished we could set the text color too!

Sheri: 09/29/2012 - 09:00 AM Oh sheri, I am so glad you said this. I am dying for some other colors as I love the blue but hate that orange. I stick with the light blue, but would sometimes like to use the gray - how about black text?

The problem with colors is that the perception of beauty is very subjective. We try to offer a range of colors so everyone may find *something* they like, without the ambition of pleasing everyone *all* the time. With the accent colors, we tried to either combine supplementary or analogous colors to achieve some form of harmony in the overall appearance, consulting color wheels and researching into color theory. It was a source of many hours of discussions and debate, at some point of which we just had to settle. However, I agree it may be time for an overhaul of our wardrobe, and if Simon agrees we could offer 2 text variants for each background color - one contrasting (higher energy) and one analogous (calm). Having the option to let everyone do their own combinations is likely not feasible on a site like ours. SEO Praxis: Specializing in WordPress Hosting and Small Business Web Design.

Thank you nightowl. I realize that a simple "change the color" is really not all that simple to do and Simon already has a lot on his plate I'm sure. But, it would be a wonderful thing to be able to opt out of orange text. |

I'm glad I was brave enough to suggest that as I thought perhaps I was the only one who was bothered by it. |

like OMG really? SWEET! I too wanted this but didn't want to seem ungrateful, but I love the idea of having a few variations... One should definately be the color of the background that's set (so if people want to match them they can- afterall there is all that white space between any words and the background... the second color who knows... (I hope I just cut Simons work in half with that suggestion (that someone else suggested first))... :) off topic rant... I'm stoked to be a member of this amazing site and community of astute writers and newbies alike- I like having newbies in a community- it both shakes things up a bit but also newbies often see what experienced builders miss just based on not thinking so much about the details (due to practice and subconciously just doing something) Newbies questions make us rethink the same questions we once asked from our new perspective (years of experience etc...) ... :) Jerrico |

Right? I don't mind orange text but there are a few templates that use orange and I think it clashes so that's the only reason I won't use it... I pray HP has life insurance because Wizzley is going to really be giving other sites like this a run for their money- it won't be long before they emmulate ourbest features though :) Wizzley is changing the world! lol Dustytoes: 09/29/2012 - 02:51 PM
