Using Amazon Images NO NO

Amazon has become really strict about the use of product images.  We can no longer download product images and then upload them, use our own html to make clickable images, etc.

We have to use the HTML codes for product images that are given to us by Amazon.

To do otherwise, could get your account closed with Amazon.  They have been pretty busy lately shutting down Associate accounts.

Those who also participate with Whyrll.  The way members have to add Amazon product images to the site is against Amazon TOS.

There are those who think some have been grandfathered in and are safe which is incorrect when it comes to how we get Amazon images on our sites, on sites like Whyrll, etc.

Thanks for this information Linda.  I guess this means we have to go take down any images we have used incorrectly.  Bummer.

I don't use images that way often, but I have before.  Guess I'll have to search for them.

Dustytoes: They continue to make changes, the reps we contact for clarification is a crap shoot when it comes to getting correct information.  They are shutting down accounts left and right, but most of those, who come on Discussion Boards, are told by us not to do it, ......and then they do it anyway, get shut down, then whine to us about being shut down.

The codes to images are messed up.

I am still finding images I uploaded here and there.
