When a couple is expecting, everyone is always giving their opinion on what the gender of the baby will be.

At a gender reveal party, all of the party guests get to place their vote during the party.   When the gender is finally revealed,  everyone finds out if their guess was correct or not.

So, how does one officially place thier vote you may ask. We'll, I have featured three fun ways in which you can do this. 

Mustache and Lips Photo Props:
The mustache and lips photo props featured below would be perfect for your guests to use to choose sides. If they think the baby is a boy, they carry around the mustache prop.   If they think the baby is a girl, they carry around the lips prop.

Mustache and Lips Buttons:
Fill a bucket with mustache and lips buttons.   The party guests have to pick out a button for the gender of their choice and wear it during the party.   These buttons can even be customized, therefore, you can add the text "Team Boy" on the mustache buttons and "Team Girl" on the lips buttons. Buttons are available in blue, black, pink and red.

Wax Mustache and Lips:
Wearing a wax candy mustache or wax candy lips would be a fun and delicious way to pick a team!

Mustache and Lips Gender Reveal Cake

Cut the cake and reveal the babies gender!

A gender reveal cake is a regular decorated cake, however, the inside of the cake is tinted either blue for boy or pink for girl. Then at the special moment when the cake is cut, the babies gender is revealed to everyone. Generally, the expectant parents have the sonogram technician write the gender on a piece of paper.  Then, this paper is shown to a cake decorator so they can tint the inside of the cake blue or pink.  That way it is a surprise for everyone except the cake decorator.

For your Mustache and Lips Gender Reveal cake you could decorate half of the cake with black or blue frosting for the mustache and the other half with red or pink frosting for the lips.

You could also top the cake with mustache and lips cake toppers such as cupcake rings, cupcake picks and edible sugar decorations.

The cake topper pictured below would also be a fun idea.   This cake topper features half mustaches and half lips.

Mustache and Lips Gender Reveal Party Favors

Chocolate and Cookie Mustaches and Lips

For your Mustache and Lips gender reveal party favors you could hand out lollipops or cookies.

The candy lollipops pictured here are one great choice   The mustache is a blue raspberry glitter lollipop and the lips are cherry flavored.

Another idea would be to make your own chocolate lollipops using the lips and mustache candy molds featured below. These molds are very simple to use.  You can purchase Merckens chocolate in many colors for your chocolate lollipops to coordinate with your party theme.  

Cookies would also make a nice party favor for your gender reveal celebration.   There is a mustache cookie cutter as well as a lips cookie cutter you can use.  You can then frost the cookies or top with fondant whatever color you want. 

Whether you are handing out lollipops or cookies, I would give each party guest a mustache favor and lips favor (two lollipops or two cookies).  You can place the lollipops or cookies in FDA treat bags and tie with curling ribbon.  There is also mustache and lips ribbon on Ebay for your party favors.  Finish off the party favors with a personalized mustache and lips sticker.

Thanks Nicole! I only found out the gender for my third baby. I had two girls already and just really wanted to know! We had a private gender reveal party. The sonogram technician wrote the babies gender on a card. When we got home, my oldest daughter (then 7) read the card to us. It was a boy! :)

Love it Janet - I also wish they had this when I was prego - I am in love with gender reveal parties. Although I knew the sex of both of mine before hand. Great job - this would be lots of fun for sure.

Oh I love it with the mustache and lip theme any baby gender reveal party will be such a fun time to celebrate the sex of the baby and the upcoming new comer. Beautiful page with great party favors and supplies. Makes me want to have one soon. :)K A party for someone else that is. :)K
