Review of Green Giant Steamers Corn & Butter Sauce

I came across a good deal on pork steaks yesterday morning and decided to buy them and make them in our crock pot so we could have them for dinner last night. However, I still needed some side dishes to go with the pork steaks, including a vegetable and, after some consideration, I decided to make this product.

My wife purchased the Green Giant Steamers Corn & Butter Sauce a couple weeks ago while out shopping for some other items. Her decision was based on the fact this was on sale and it is a vegetable most of us do enjoy eating (we always try to find ways to avoid dinner-time confrontations over food choices). And, after having it last night, I do think it was a good choice.

I ended up preparing this, as per the instructions on the bag, in my microwave. This is something I did find I liked about this product because it was very convenient and left me free to finish up my pork steaks and make the macaroni and cheese I had also picked out as a side dish. In total, it took about 4 minutes to make and, since we scooped the corn right out of the bag, I didn't even need to dirty an extra dish.

The corn itself was very pleasant. Even though it had been frozen, it did taste relatively fresh. I also found I enjoyed the butter sauce. There was enough of it to give the corn some extra flavor but, at the same time, Green Giant didn't go overboard with it and, because of that, we could still taste the actual corn too.

In fact, this was something everyone enjoyed and we had very little of this leftover as a result of that. And that, with my family, is a rare thing.

This product, in addition to other things, was relatively affordable and that, combined with the convenience and taste, instantly made it one of my favorite side dish choices. I have every intention of buying this product again in the future.
