Product Description: Pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough from the Lockhart Fine Foods brand. The dough comes in pre-cut form and can be placed on a cookie sheet before baking it in the oven. I purchased this product this past weekend for $7.99 while at Costco and made some of the cookies last night.

Review
My wife and I did some of our grocery shopping at Costco this past weekend and, while searching for another item we knew was on sale, came across this particular product in their freezer section.
I didn't plan on buying a dessert like this, especially since we had already splurged on some other cookies earlier in our shopping trip. However, I thought $7.99 for a large box of cookie dough was a good deal and decided to make the purchase. And, since I had to use the oven while making dinner last night, I figured I would pop some of the cookies in the oven. As it turns out, they exceeded my expectations.
The thing I really found I liked about this product was the convenience. The only thing I needed to do was separate the pre-measured dough portions, put them on a cookie sheet and bake them for about 12 minutes. It was something I could do while making dinner and the dirty dishes were kept to a minimum.
As far as taste goes, I was definitely happy with this purchase. I had a couple doubts about the product because I had never heard of the brand before. However, the cookies came out of the oven soft and moist, just how I like them, and remained that way even after they cooled.
I was also impressed with the number of chocolate chips in the cookies. This isn't always the case with pre-made brands like this. But, there were chips in almost every bite, something that made them taste almost homemade and made them enjoyable for everyone in the family.

Final Opinion
We already had some other desserts in the house at the time and, as a result, I only made 9 of the cookies. After trying them last night, however, I'm sure we'll be baking the rest of the dough in the very near future. It's definitely a product I would recommend.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for practical information, pretty pictures and product lines.
It's so convenient to know about a prepared, quality dessert or snack item such as the ever-popular chocolate chip cookies. Everything about it sounds like win-win -- convenience, quantity, scent, taste, texture. I'll count on this for when I make fresh cookies and worry about whether there'll be drop-ins and re-serving requests beyond what I have ready.
Lockhart chocolate chip cookies wouldn't be too soft to survive milk dunkings, would they?
