Looking to sell your books online. Get the best deals on your used books. Here are the best places where you can sell your books online for cash.

If you are anything like me, you may have lots of books collecting dust in your cupboard or have college and academic textbooks which are of no use to you now.  The best way to get rid of the unwanted and used book is to give them  to someone who needs them or sell your books online for cash.

Why Sell Your Books Online, You May Ask?

The answer to this question is pretty simple, you will get a better deal on your books online.  Your local bookstore will pay pennies for the book you purchased in dollars.  Why sell your books offline when you can get more cash selling your used books online.  Also, your local bookstore may not buy everybook (Normally, local stores only buy those books which are in demand locally) but when you sell book online, you almost sell any book as companies which buys book online cater to a larger demographic area.

Best Places To Sell Your Books Online For Cash

  • SellBackYourBook.com:

After trying Amazon, Ebay and few other online companies to sell my book, I can safely say that SellBackYourBook.com is the best place to sell your books online for cash.  The site is very easy to use, you just have to enter the ISBN number (you can find the ISBN number on the backside of the book) and you will get an instant quote, the price you will get for that particular book.  The price they offer are very competitive and definitely better than the price you would have normally got from your local bookstore.(You can always compare the prices with your local bookstore before selling)

Also, you don't have to pay for shipping, the company pays for it.  Just print the label from the site and ship them your books.  Your payments will be processed once your books are delivered and for faster payments they use paypal.  Since, you don't pay for anything, every cent you earn is profit.  SellBackYourBook is BBB accredited and Paypal verified, so it is not a scam and you will get paid.  So give it a try and get instant quote for your book now.
  • Amazon:

You can also try selling your books on Amazon.  The listing fees are reasonable and you can get a decent price for your books.  But it is a very time consuming process and it can take months to get your books listed and find a buyer.
  • Ebay:

Previously, Ebay used to be a popular destination to sell books online.  But the book market on Ebay has become so saturated, that it has not become increasingly difficult to sell your books there, unless you have some very rare or popular books.  But Ebay is still a option to sell your books online for cash.

Final Note

To conclude with, I would highly recommend SellBackYourBook.com among all the sites listed above.  It offers the best price and is very easy to use.  Don't go by my words alone, check for yourself.  Get instant quote for any book you like, you don't need to signup.  Visit:  SellBackYourBook.com

You have truly said that the unused books should be sold so that can make money or the another option is also very good that these should be donated to any one who can make use of these.

Thanks for these suggestions, Natasha! I will have to look into them. I'm buried in books. Then again, I have a hard time giving them up!

I've sold some books online. Amazon have a new service (or at least I haven't seen it before) where they will buy books off you and give you an amazon voucher. Good article though!

I have sold my books from home on Amazon. I don't make a lot of money, but it is recycling, and I make a bit of money instead of throwing them away. I had a basement full of fiction and fantasy books, and it is slowly clearing out.
