In the web exist several pages listing the wellknown fourteen 8000m peaks - the highest mountains of the world! But what is with their subpeaks and subsidiary summits?

This article gives a brief overview of the fourteen eight-thousanders with all their subpeaks and subsidiary summits. Having a prominence of less than 200 metres every single subpeak may be a mountaineering challenge with its own risks and specific characteristics and therefore gains its own place in the following peak list.
The list is not complete, but offers some interesting informations for all sorts of Himalayan climbers. For example have a look at the Manaslu South-East peak with a height of 8010 m: It maybe the last remaining unclimbed 8000 m subpeak of the world and can be a challenge for coming Himalayan expeditions.

Manaslu always has fascinated me for how complicated, at least on this side of the pond, it is to sort through climbing history, and how photogenic it is.
The Wikipedia article identifies as its source Messner for saying that the south-east face was climbed by a Polish team in autumn 1984. Is that the face of the southeast peak or is it the southeast side of the main climbed peak?
