My Favorite Brands for Comfy Shoes
Hi Emma, walking barefoot can be wonderful!
Do you also wear Clarks shoes? Coming back to my own page, I'm thinking those Clarks ballet flats would be quite nice for long walks.

When the Bride Wore Blue
They are extremely pretty, but I know what you mean. I'm more used to white anyway, because I'm a Pagan. White is the color of the Maiden, hence perfect for a wedding (handfasting). Blue was the Christian equivalent.

When the Bride Wore Blue
I knew that white was not always the traditional wedding dress color. I really can't get used to the blue dress idea for today's bride, although they are pretty, but to each her own!

Homelessness in London
You are absolutely right. I never did understand the rationale for selling off so much council housing stock. I just think this will take years to solve.

Homelessness in London
Fully agreed about the problem's growing worse. We in Britain need to build more social housing, but the builders are reluctant, as they don't get the profit from it that they get from more expensive housing. There was never any wrong in ...

Homelessness in London
It is awful. I think, in London, there are more homeless people than agencies to help. It's been a problem for a long time but is getting progressively worse through lack of defined government policy.

Make Money Writing Online: Two New Pay Per View Sites to Write On
I'm afraid I decided to quit, Alexandria. Just yesterday, in fact. I like getting in the ground floor sometimes, but I felt more as if I was in the basement after writing five articles for DTC. The site looks nice, but structurally, it works ...

Homelessness in London
I do believe the hidden homelessness are probably a larger population than the people out on the street. It is sad to see someone without a home. Last summer we visited Portland, Oregon, which has a large homeless population. They appear to be ...

10 Ways to Keep Creative Writing Ideas Flowing
Hi, Mira. Thanks for the kind comment. When I say writing everyday, it doesn't necessarily mean writing a lot; could just be a paragraph. But, of course, not all of the techniques will work for everybody. And, as you quite rightly point out, ...

10 Ways to Keep Creative Writing Ideas Flowing
These are great ideas. Writing every day doesn't work for me though, unless that's all I do. Mixing projects and energies is killing my writing. However, if I have a stretch of time to devote to my interests (for the most part), I find I'm more ...

When the Bride Wore Blue
That bridal ensemble sounds beautiful. You must have looked a picture.
And yes, purple was the colour of the emperor in Rome.

When the Bride Wore Blue
I managed happily to combine much of this in my wedding dress/formal gown. White chiffon with purple, blue, pink and orange flowers, spinkle of glitter, lined with duck-egg-blue silk. I carried a blue hanky that had been grandma's and the pale ...

Ynys Môn: The Ancestral Home of the Druids
Ah! Yes, true story. It's been a while since I read it. Perhaps I'll join you with a re-read.

Ynys Môn: The Ancestral Home of the Druids
If there was a conversion on any significant scale we must recall that Ireland was several kingdoms and the poltics of one would differ from the poltics of others, and poltics were very fluid, so purely poltical conversions would not last.

10 Ways to Keep Creative Writing Ideas Flowing
Thanks, Kathleen, Dustytoes and Natural_Skin_Care. Glad you enjoyed it.
Yeah, WordChazer, that's very true, one idea will often bounce into another. And, I find, even if it doesn't, taking a break from one thing and letting your brain focus on ...
