Who Wrote the Gospels
I very much enjoy discussions such as this. I am wondering about davestone's suggestion that Jesus and his peers were illiterate since it was tradition to learn to pray from written script. They may not have been taught by their rabbis, how to ...

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
It sounds good, but I have no idea what oat cream is. :) But pancetta and bits of Brussels sprouts sounds really good :) From what I'm reading so far in Google results, oat cream is a non-dairy alternative to cream. That much I had figured. But ...

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
My family don't like sprouts though I do, so we slice them up and fry them a bit with pancetta and then warm some oat cream through. It's tastier than it sounds. :)

Who Wrote the Gospels
One further point, there is one contested writing that is claimed to come from Jesus, the letter of Jesus to Abgarus of Edessa, which you will find in Wake's Apostolic Fathers, but its authenticity is widely contested. Having examined it, I can ...

Who Wrote the Gospels
Luke 4 shows Jesus reading Scripture in the synagagogue, and John 8, an independent tradition, shows him writing in the sand. Jesus was addressed as rabbi, which title would have been inconceivable for an illiterate person. Note that the Jews ...

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
I use parsnips a lot too, but I boil them because they're so fibrous. But you could use smaller ones, I guess. I don't like boiling vegetables, even though there are some soups I make where I do boil them. But I keep wondering how to tweak those ...

Who Wrote the Gospels
Interesting assessment of the debate. The only thing I would add is that it is extremely unlike that Matthew or Luke wrote the gospels attributed to them because, like Jesus and the overwhelming majority of people in their class, were almost ...

I love brussel sprouts - but I've never had them for breakfast. I will definitely need to give that a try.

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
Mira, you have given me an idea. While I grew no sprouts this year, I had a great crop of parsnips, and seeing your picture of carrots on a breakfast plate, I thought of the parsnips. They are related to carrots and do a similar job in your diet.
