Should You Tell People That You are Deaf in One Ear?
I imagine they should be able to regenerate those cells in a few years' time. I think David Lodge in Deaf Sentence said something to that effect, too. I can't believe though that people who understand what unilateral hearing involves make it ...

Is Your Home Safe for a Deaf Person?
Yes, please do review it, as I've not heard of the book before. :)
And I would advocate having fire alarms in your apartment building. You need all the time that you can get to escape that!

Is Your Home Safe for a Deaf Person?
I imagine this helps a lot of people. I'm reading David Lodge's Deaf Sentence at the moment (wondering whether to do a review about it when I finally get to finish it), and learned so many things about life as a hearing-impaired person. He says ...

Wedding Planning Advice for the Groom
This was a fun article. I chuckled at the last piece of advice -- I imagine it's so true that the groom needs time to recover after the bachelor party :-)

Honeymoon Cruises. Is a honeymoon cruise right for us?
This is a very good, well-grounded article about cruises. I've read some easy lit on cruises -- not very useful!:-)

Puréed Fruit Cocktail with Honey and Mint

The Fantastic Health Benefits of White Tea
Hi Roohi, I knew about white tea being even richer in antioxidants than green or black tea, but didn't know it could lower bad cholesterol and control blood sugar. I've been meaning to look closely into the health benefits of green, black, and ...

Honeymoon Cruises. Is a honeymoon cruise right for us?
You didn't mention having any sea-sickness so I guess you had calm waters. I think that it would be up to each couple and what their idea of a honeymoon is. You have made some very good points about the pros and cons of cruising for a ...

Creative Writing: Fan Fiction Versus Original Stories
That is so much easier, I agree! But it's the restrictive nature which has me fascinated with fan fiction, because it's a challenge. Writing stories just as they download is certainly the way forward, if you want to publish though. :)

Sleeping Beauties: The Victorians and Post-Mortem Photography
You actually have some Victorian memento mori? That's really cool!
I also love visiting graveyards, particularly Victorian ones. They really went to town on the headstones and crypts. I must have a macabre bent of mind too. But there's ...

WTF? OED Adds Textspeak To the Dictionary
Language is evolving all the time. It needs rules for obvious reasons, but like in sports these rules should be changing from time to time. We are changing, our society is changing, our language is changing. Descriptivists will carry things on ...

Creative Writing: Fan Fiction Versus Original Stories
I guess I would never write fan fiction because I would feel limited. I like the way stories form in my head and I just write them as they download. ;)
