I missed an early doctor's appointment once, because I had rolled over on my good ear during the night. My mother lost her cell phone recently. I called it with my cell and it took me 30 minutes to find it because I couldn't tell what direction it was coming from.

I've worked in a lot of crummy jobs that paid minimum wage but did not require being tipped. The 20% rule is usually what I go by for waitresses and adjust up or down for service.

Yes I love the pink, my daughters do too! Great to see they've made these toys more girly as girls do love these sort of toys. They also gain amazing skills from playing with them. Girls can be mechanical. My youngest daughter can take anything apart and put it back together and can fix just about anything. I can't tell you how many times I was about to toss something and she said, "let me see that" she fixes so many things I thought were hopeless. :)K

I'm a vegetarian, so I know what you mean. I've encountered people who have become furious, absolutely red in the face and shouting, once they learn that I don't eat meat. I'm not talking about butchers or those working in abattoirs, who have something financial to lose through me. It's downright weird.

Oh! It would be interesting to find out. The key seems to be that the memento mori are studio shots. But it doesn't follow that every photograph taken in a studio in Victorian times includes a dead person.

I borrowed my brothers toys LOL. It's good their Dad didn't stereotype them into "girls toys". Digging in the dirt is so much fun. The Deere toys are a lovely shade of pink aren't they.

It's a fun tradition in many families to add a new ornament or two each year. These would be some nice ornaments for reindeer fans.

Firefighters are truly heroes. So many of them in small communities are volunteers, too. These are some nice ornaments to honor them.

Thanks for the comment Brenda. Yep, it seems like there are so many pitfalls with tipping that even lifelong Americans don't always know what to do. It's certainly a steep learning curve! Mike

Hi Katie, thanks for the comment. The groom usually gets an easy ride in the wedding planning, but there is plenty they can do to ease a little stress :)

This is fantastic advice for men. The take time to recover is really important, I've heard horror stories, not a good way to start a marriage. This woman appreciates the thoughtful consideration as to what the groom can do to make the entire process special by adding his special touches that will NEVER be forgotten. Very good advice. :)K
