Weebly review: What the heck is Weebly?
@jezhug: Good to hear that!
@lobobrandon: Backlink should never be the only benefit, my main goal is always to get traffic. In my case, and I believe I am not the only writer on the net, when I do a research for an article, I never use every material I find.
For example: I have a post about Little Red Riding Hood. I provide the whole fairy tale, the background, symbolism etc. But I found out some users only search for short summary. I make it on Weebly (or similar site) and if they want more, there is link to my main post. It is similar usage as at support blogs, but this site is more static.
In SEO world Weebly is widely used as a so called buffer too. I will write about buffers in another article (not necessary here). In short: buffer is safety measure against unexpected changes of search engines algorithms.
And of course link diversity was never something I would run away from...
If you are after money making on the net, Weebly itself gives you several options - please read this article again, point 8.
One more thought. Why should I remove their name (unless I want to promote my own brand - and I already have it)? Weebly is good trusted brand with 12 millions of users. I don't remove NIKE from my shoes either...
I hope my answers are good enough, if you have more specific question, just go for it:)
