With four kids I have a lot of experience with toddlers eating. I actually miss those times because they were not so picky with their food like they are now! I have a hard time getting my 9 yr old and 12 yr old to eat anything good for them. They ate all kinds of good stuff when they were toddlers.. Great article.. look forward to many more.

Here in the U.S. we can't afford to promote anything that doesn't support capitalism right now. We've got to get over our PC attempts to make everybody feel warm and fuzzy and on an equal par with everyone else. It ain't gonna happen in this life. Perfection has never existed and it never will.

Dustytoes buying a mower online is a bit different for many of us. However, it really is a great option for folks that do not want to mess with running into their local super center. Lugging their new lawn mower still in the box, a country mile across the store and parking lot. Just to load it into the back of their car for the drive home..
When they have unloading the mower, take it out of the box, the set it up anyway before getting to the job at hand, cutting the grass.
Why not save ourselves all the frustration. Buy a new push mower online, have it delivered to our driveway, and feel good about it as though it is christmas in April, May or something like that.

Thank you for commenting, Othercat, particularly in your defence above for stereo hearing. I was beginning to think bilateral hearing had nothing to recommend it! :p

One thing that I've found in common with most unilateral deaf people is how quiet we are about the issues most of the time. It might be said once or twice, then never again. It feels impolite to demand a better environment, when everyone else is having fun. Makes us look like the party poopers.

Please let us know what insights your son gave. It might be that the 50% hearing in his right ear does help him locate sounds. That would negate some of the issues highlighted in this article. <3

The argument is that there wouldn't be any romance industry, if people weren't rushing to buy flowers, chocolates, cards and other gifts for this day. Those celebrating Valentine's Day in the traditional way are facilitating the consumer aspect of it.

The organisers specifically said that they weren't anti-couples. They were just against the exclusion of other kinds of love and how restrictive the norm for romance has become.

Hey Rose. I like your question.

At this time, I am still on my weight loss journey, and I weigh over 275 pounds, yet I regularly put in six-mile runs on pavement, wearing Merrell True Glove minimalist running shoes. While I am not totally without running pain, I can tell you that I only feel about 10% of the pain I used to feel when I ran in conventional shoes. That is a huge improvement!

I like to trail run as well, and when I would do that in conventional shoes, I still had shin splints and nagging pain in my legs.

I can tell you that the foot-strike makes a big difference in my experience. In minimalist running we put the ball of our foot down first, instead of the heel. This makes for reduced impact, and it enables the arch of the foot to do what it is supposed to and absorb some of the shock of the foot strike.

(Of course, I am no doctor. I am just speaking from my own experience.)

I love old homes. I wish I could tour them.
