Overlapping Content
There are times when we write what is necessary to write, rather than to pander (rather than 'Panda') to Google and the almighty search volume. I'd rather write something relevant, against little competition, rather than something that I need to SEO to the hilt in order for it to get read. The burden us writers have to bear just to kowtow to what Google believes is it's internet, eh!
Overlapping content is only relevant where targeting keywords is necessary. And I am afraid that Google has caused us all to bow to that necessity, in order to earn a living, rather than write for the sake of expounding on something that we wish to say.
A different internet is needed. One that is more social, where any subject, or any article/writer plays on a level playing field to get read. We are getting there, but +1 is not the answer.
A continuous stream of links, categorised to the lowest level, on a loop, is one way. Twitter without limits.
