Funny T-Shirts and Mugs for the First Year of the Covid Era
Mira, Thank you for the practical information and product lines. Is it being said in Bucharest, as here, that the coronavirus spreads in crowded, poorly ventilated interior spaces rather than in the great outdoors and that's why it's not safe ...

Trees: Questions to Ask Before Planting
Here pines look nice when small, and provide good shade when fully grown, but after a hurricane such as the one yesterday it seems they are often the trees that hit houses when they fall due to wind or are split by lightning. Thirty feet looks ...

Trees: Questions to Ask Before Planting
A good article. A garden near my previous house had a large eucalyptus which had to be felled. Eucalyptus have evolved to suck in much water, so it was drying the ground and potentially undermining the house. Also, soil must be considered. ...

Fall Foliage
Here they do not root in wetlands, and swamps abound. The local sycamores are confined to lawns. The sprouting seeds are usually mowed down with the grass. The same is true of pecan trees planted by squirrels.

Fall Foliage

A Nice Cup of Tea
Yes, it may help. I'm making a large pot of tea every day, and we're also taking supplements: vitamin D and vitamin C with Zinc. I'm also a firm believer in the power of nuts and seeds for the heart, mind, immune system, and general health (all ...

A Visit to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
My problem is my feet are sensitive due to the chemo. Otherwise, walking is great exercise. The garden is bear the zoo, and they share a parking lot. Great place for children to be exposed to nature.

A Visit to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
I knew that it was Birmingham, Alabama. I love walking, but my orthopaedic problems still slow me down. But I fight on.

A Visit to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
It is, but remember this is Birmingham, Alabama, not the one in England. It has a website. I am certain spring would be a better time to visit, but it is worth going even now. The only part I did not enjoy was the amount of walking, which ...
