I was born and raised in Queens, NY. I started loving water sports, in streams, creeks, and lakes in the up-state region of NY. My family spent most of our summers, in the fantatis Catskill mountains. Believe me it was night and day, in terms of our lives down-state in the city. I left NYC, and moved to Washington,DC during the George H. W. Bush administration, in the late 1980s. Washington, DC was an incredible city to live in, with Maryland and Virginia 20 minutes in either direction.
