Cute Cow Baby Nursery Decor

by Marie

What a sweet selection of cow baby items there are for decorating a nursery in a barnyard, farm, Western cowboy or rodeo girl style. Cows make a cute theme for baby boys and girls.

A cow is a really great choice of animal theme for a baby room or nursery. Babies tend to become familiar with barnyard animals very early on because they are heavily featured in gifts, books and toys for young ones to enjoy. So this really cute creature makes a perfect theme for a little boy or a girl.

Come and take a peek to see what suggestions there are on this page which will work well whether you're buying for your own child or indeed when choosing a unique gift for someone else's. You could be buying for a shower too and you'll get some great suggestions here.

If you're planning a themed nursery, here's some ideas you can use for the decor. I'd recommend that you start by planning the crib bedding first because I didn't do it this way round when we planned our nursery and mine ended up as a little bit of a disaster! By picking out a crib set, you can then easily match up colors and designs from that for your nursery. It really makes life a lot easier than painting the whole room (major job) then trying to match in the soft furnishings to it and not being able to find items that match!

A clock in a nursery is going to be of more use to you than a baby! Most children don't get interested in time and the whole idea of life revolving around a clock until they're around 4. But a nursery clock is useful so you can gauge little one's sleep and nap times. This sweet clock features a cute barnyard friend peeping over the rim.

Rugs and mats soften rooms up and add a different texture for a crawling baby, especially when you've got hard floors. For a themed nursery, you could get a hide or a print pattern rug. A cuter option for baby is this sweet 31 inch plush mat which is perfect for baby tummy time and playtime. The mats are machine washable and can easily be rolled up to take along with you so baby can relax on their special little rug.

What a sweet little lamp featuring a ceramic base and print lampshade. A small lamp at just shy of 7 inches, this would be a lovely addition to a baby nursery. Any child will adore this cute lovie or blankie with a soft, animal print fabric and a plush head in the middle. Many babies love having a soft blanket to snuggle up with because it, like many soft toys, provides a lot of comfort. This will look gorgeous spread over the nursery crib too.

A fun way to decorate the walls of a baby room is to get hold of some special wall decals or stickers. Wall decals are really great these days. These barnyard ones by Roommates can be removed and repositioned without leaving any sticky mess behind. They peel on and off with ease. You get lots of colorful stickers in this barnyard set including a barn, cows, sheep, chicken, trees and tractors.

If you like getting crafty, perhaps you could make some cardboard stencils with print designs and paint prints in the colors you want over the walls. These don't need to be in realistic shades, you could have a pastel pink or blue animal print. You can also get fabric with prints on and you could sew up some themed curtains, window valances, pillows and even crib bedding if you're handy with a sewing machine. Or what about hand sewing a little baby quilt with some animal print or barnyard fabric. I hope you've enjoyed reading my wizzles page today, thanks for your visit. Enjoy putting together a cute room.
