Easter Decorations have become easier to find. Many people have decorated more extensively for Halloween, then again for Christmas, than in the past. There is a yearning for something uplifting, and holidays give an opportunity to decorate.
As we approach Easter there is yet another opportunity to add a display of beautiful decorations, whether it be indoors or outdoors. Easter is a time for celebrating, for it is central to Christian beliefs, the culmination of the events of redemption. But there is no equivalent of the Nativity Set that signifies Christmas.
The secular decorations center on a rabbit who brings eggs, and prefers those eggs be colored splendidly. In a sense the colors and even the eggs could represent spring. No matter the origins, these are the symbols of Easter, along with candy.

It is more difficult to find Easter decorations than Christmas decorations, but some are appearing outdoors in this area. It follows Mardi Gras, which had parades cancelled. The float makers offered decorative pieces for sale, and their building crew willingly decorated houses, as a means of keeping some employment going. Now I have seen similar decorations for Easter and even for Saint Partick's Day. I believe it will be a new art form to add to decorations, and it may spread past the area.
Oh these are lovely . YOu have made a positive statement in a world of darkness. Thank you for helping us all in this way. I love Easter. In addition to the Religious significance for us, I always have the decorated eggs round the house and garden for the children to find. We have a lovely dinner after church.
I have not seen most of these decorations you highlight. i love the decorations and window clings.
Finding something religious as a decoration is difficult. The centerpiece with the word rejoice was the closest I found.
blackspanielgallery, Thank you for the pictures, practicalities and products.
In particular, the bunny wreath amuses me and is quite tempting to get even though I typically would opt for the flower wreath.
These are all great ideas and props, particularly the clings and flags that are so cheery for anonymous and known pedestrian and vehicular passersby, for such an important day in two months.
Can you think of something that could signify Easter as iconically, religiously, spiritually as the Nativity set for Christmas?
