With the fall and winter holidays coming up, I’ve been spending some time on fashion sites and Pinterest checking out bargain gifts for friends and myself this Halloween and Christmas. I’m not a fashion fiend, but I do like fashion and constantly work at developing my style even as I most often rely on old pieces of clothing and jewelry to do so.
This fall leopard print and animal stripes are in, as well as solid color schemes. Faux fur is big: lapels, vests, hats, and fur-trimmed boots. Color-wise, I’ve noticed lots of beige tones and muted pastels, as well as combos of black, white, and grays. Reds, orange, and pinks are also fashionable.
Owls are still a fad, as are infinity scarves. Also trendy are cat-ear hats and military jackets, mini dresses and skirts, and the older style of dresses over pants.

Thank you, Shraddha!
Came back to pin it. It is a lovely assortment of apparel and accessories.
I'm not a big fan of leopard skin myself but I really like vertical stripes. I once had a pair of short pants with blue and white vertical stripes. I think the ones on this page would go really well with a white T-shirt (preferably a white button-down T-shirt) and suspenders, and then with the faux fur vest, as you say. :) Thanks for stopping by!
Mira, The great thing about the offerings you've selected is that they could all be combined into one fashion statement, which could be a little over the top but which I think could really look good: suspendered, striped skinny jeans topped with leopard tube top, layered with the bouclé jacket, decorated with infinity scarf, and everything garnished with a colorful bowler hat. On cooler days, incorporate the faux fur vest or bring it along to wear for indoor events -- for example, at a movie, party, or restaurant -- after divesting the jacket.
Fashion can be so much fun, especially when it sparks the cleverness of incorporating older wardrobe items with trending items.
:) Thank you, Alex, for your fun comment!
I love when women wear bowler hats...a handful of my friends wear them from time to time and they always look super stylish in them!
I also love felt hats myself, although I wear a slightly different style, I like to call mine "Indiana Jones Hats", i.e. slightly wider brim, with the brim not really turning up much at the edge. Wool felt hats are incredibly practical; they can be bent and packed tightly, and they just reassume their original shape once taken out. They're also very durable, and moderately water resistant, and stay warm even when they get wet.
Thank you, Shraddha!
Love the items you have showcased for Fall, especially the jacket and the scarf. Looks very warm and cozy for winter.
