Josh, I'm not sorry that I posted access to your 'rant' here - as you know I am a fan and look to your guidance often (although not directly of late). I felt that you had made a good point and it needed airing here on W. As you say - unfortunate that some made more of the content (misinterpreted somewhat on occasion) not associated with the core question - should an (or another, if one was received) e-mail be sent to all giving details etc of the (current) situation with Adsense. I had not intended that you should need to defend your opinion in any way. In my view, if one person believes they have not been kept informed in an appropriate manner, then there will be many more (who could become disgruntled)!

That said, it is good to learn that Wizzley is held (seemingly) in some regard at G, since we have now been made aware that Adsense has re-evaluated W to the extent that Adsense has now been re-instated.

For me this was never about Adsense - it was about ensuring that authors did not become ex-Wizzlerers, as they became ex-Hubbers, simply because of a lack of communication (actual or perceived). Most of us are aware of the catastrophic mishandling of customer service and PR at HP (if not, I have written articles here at Wizzley about it, if anyone is interested). It would be (have been) a great shame should our great Wizzley staff fallen foul of thoughts of indifference, just for the sake of a quick e-mail to all authors detailing what happened; what is happening; and when the situation is likely to be resolved (plus a reiteration of all the great earning opportunities here, whilst the problem stayed unresolved).

Great though to hear that the problem is now resolved - I am looking forward to the e-mail that will be sent detailing the precise issues that had to be resolved - and telling me what I am not allowed to do from now on, so that Adsense is retained for Wizzley to earn money, and for all those that have a reliance upon Adsense.

One thing that did show up for me was the strangeness of the Chikita ads - one of my referrals even messaged me to ask why they are so irrelevant and how to temper the content of an article to obtain better relevance. Perhaps a time to ask the question:

How do you structure your content to obtain (what looks like) more relevance with Chikita ads? - just going to post that one for the next Forum discussion.

Thanks to all for taking the time to make your points in this (current) thread.

Of course there are plenty of people who are still doing reasonably well atm. But, every word you've written about above is true.

Haha I know, I read through the old forum posts on the site when I had just joined. I remember you were quite active on the forums. Now, people are in awe if you make more than a dollar a day as well.

Wow! I am sorry to say that I missed this entire discussion, and most of the forum discussions of late. I have been consumed with other projects and not spending a lot of time here in Wizzley. That being said, I am a staunch supporter and follower of Sunforged who runs HubsAcademy, and would never dismiss his writings. While we don't agree on everything, I respect his opinions.,

ChefKeem - you know that I love you but no email was sent out to inform us of this problem. I found out through being informed on the forum discussion by another member of Wizzley.

Jo - since you have no real experience of Adsense, you may not realize that people who do make money from Adsense are concerned with protecting any smidgen of appearance of not following their TOS so as not to get kicked out. Chitika is a poor substitution for Adsense earnings. When I found out about this situation, I removed my account from here temporarily until it got straightened out.  Now I will reinstate it.

Wizzley has been an awesome site in many ways but they are young and have much to learn and experience. Anything that remotely relates to affecting the way we earn income will touch the heart and soul of every writer that makes a living. (Yep, that is all of us.) Making money from writing online is how I pay for investments in my core business, my gallery, and sometimes pay the rent. Anything that changes that ability is important to me.

One of the problems that cropped up on Hubpages was that the company started to disregard the experienced writers. While that should not happen here, with a different type of leadership in action, like Josh said, responsive, I caution any site leadership to be aware of the realities that writers are facing. Without good writers, a writing site is just a shell.

I am quite glad that Adsense has now been reinstated. Let's keep it that way!

Yay! Just received the official e-mail stating that Adsense is back.

Thanks Achim, Anne, Simon and Hans for sorting this out. I am sure you have had long hours of your precious time taken up on this, that could have been spent improving Wizzley in other ways.

It just shows that even with excellent content scrutineers some content still triggered Google filters.

Oh well, back to everyday life once again.

Paula - an email was sent to all writers who use AdSense on their articles (confirmed by Christene HERE).

If an author had already switched to Chitika, they didn't get the emall. (Obviously, they knew about it already, and the mailing code was set to reach only AdSense authors.)

Some emails may have landed in a spam folder. Also, we get tons of "Undelivered Mails" notifications - authors let their mail boxes overflow, or for other reasons.

I think we did our part.

And I love you to pieces.  Smile

Sunforged - you said a lot of nice things about Wizzley. Thank you for that.  Smile

Ive missed out on a lot of late (having a 3 months old baby will help with that:) ) but it seems that al lis well and back up and running for AdSense.

I agree with Chaz as well, there are many writers I talk with on Hubpages, Wizzley and Squidoo that at times I don't agree with, but respect and appreciation of the difference in opinion is always known between us. Thats just good old fashioned adult behavior :)

There are many I have learnt alot from in 6 months, than I did in the 3 years previous.

Ok back to the dark realms of writing my first ebook.
