Congrats Paula! katiem2: 22. Mar 2012, 15:59 That must take some kind of willpower. I am always checking my sales. And since my online hobby has become my full time job, I need to have a good idea of what is coming in each month since a lot goes to pay household bills. |

I too have no "don't check every 15 minutes" will power lol. In fact since I do work completely from home (I do tech support for writers and customers for one of the biggest article outsourcing companies (at least the best if not the biggest) and various other projects for my boss) and currently 30% of my income comes from other ventures (writing here, sites, etc..). I love to see my income come in- it's part of what makes my day so fun! I get gitty when a new quarter comes in still! a dollar? I actually stand up an try to reach around to pat myself on the back, 10.00? I just stare at the screen with my jaw open, more than that I go into shock (I'm talking about from one sale/commission etc...). I don't take even a penny earned for granted even though I'm used to hundreds, thousands sometimes a month (now starting from 0 a month- ouch... Unfortunately I had consolidated all my income into one boat (HP) and now that I'm not there anymore a huge chunk of my money disappeared overnight- the money I can make back in time but the money wasn't the fun part- watching it accumulate from various sources was and boy do I miss that... currently I'm still making chump change from adsense (my sites) but other than my monthly paycheck (night job online) I have NOTHING to check! ahhhhh... I'm still waiting for my first payout here but since I have but 2 articles published thus far and am finding the migration process (fun but) time consuming, it seems I'm barely getting through one a day (and for 2 days I've been working on two very long articles I'm migrating over- it seems, I was very wordy in some of my most popular articles (from the other site), and I'm working hard to tighten them up- It may be 6 months before I see a penny, but I'm really looking forward to it! I like that this site has like a gazillion ways to earn/monetize- and just yesterday I tried the "all posters" module to discover it's an amazing picture resource! (and you can earn if they want to buy a poster- score!) I may never use an image module again haha, well maybe a few thanks to the free image site owned by Wizzley (is it still owned by wizzley?pix- something)... I'm rambling, just wanted to join the discussion- I really need a social life LOL, I work all the time and the forum is a nice break... Oh and if anyone reaches this far into this post (hehe) do we make money from "Impressions" as well as clicks? i.e. 4.53/1000 impressions or whatever the earnings per thousand is? One of my biggest earners on HP was adsense or other ads impressions income (they land stay 15 seconds you make money- no other interaction required), thus traffic was your barometer not the users decision to click or not- if we don't are there any plans to integrate impression earning ads of any kind? I really loved that income and it really kicked in hard from my articles... Peace! Jerrico |

Excellent Paula, awesome news to hear good people are getting big commissions. Now if we can work out a way to amalgamate that result 10 times a day and write up an ebook and sell it for 49.95 US |

That's a lot of money for one sale. It typically takes me seven or eight conversions to make that amount so congrats are definitely in order. |
