I've had a few visits lately from RebelMouse but I've never heard of it. Most of the others I've come across over the last few years. Has anyone heard of it or come across it themselves? Is it some new site that we should be using (a bit like Reddit and StumbleUpon that I've never quite got ;) ).

Others can tell in greater detail than I. But it is a page that you can sign up for. Any activity you do online, such as commenting on articles or tweeting or facebooking gets posted there for everyone to see. I started mine to show off my articles I've written here and other places. |

Yes! I love my Rebelmouse. I set one up after noticing how many visitors I got from there too. Once you've added all of the data, you can just walk away and Rebelmouse carries on going. Very low-maintenance. I also used it for the front page of my Beautiful Britain website. It automatically provides all that new content, without me having to lift a finger there. Though, naturally, I'm providing the content elsewhere, in order for Rebelmouse to pick it up!

Thank you Abby and Jo! Sounds like it's something I will have to check out and sign up to. I just hate signing up to yet more accounts--I always forget about the usernames, passwords and even the fact that I have an account on some!--but if this is beneficial, I'll do it :) |

Oh lovely you asked this question, i was about to ask JoHarrington about this because it was only through her website that i reached rebelmouse, though i have also seen Humagaia too using it here. Just out of curiosity i made my account there too with the same username younghopes I have signed it with google plus so i saw that everything i have posted there came upon the site automatically. However i still dont know how the site will help me in terms of getting traffic? What is the main purpose of the site and how we can benefit from the same. So please.......do let me know |

It really is quite low maintenance. I set mine up, then wandered off. I've never had to do anything to it since. Rebelmouse does seem to help with driving traffic, though not in massive quantities. But all of these smaller streams add up, so it's all good. The main purpose of the site is as a curator. It collects together all of our social networking posts, and adds them to one handy page. You could link that to someone, as a collection of all your stuff. My stuff: A Writer's Guide to Wizzley | Beautiful Britain!

I use it very extensively and am intending making more use of it by adding unique content and also possibly upgrading to the paid version. It's not generating as much traffic as my Scoop.it pages yet but I am very impressed with it. My main page is at RebelMouse and you will notice you can have tabs one of which I am currently using to host specific content (Whovians) others as links to sites

Thanks Jo, just to know one more thing about rebelmouse, i have seen that you can even add content in the posts apart from directly linking the post to the main source. So can we use it to promote 'viglink' content there, i think it would be good? |
