Did Wizzley Rise in Alexa?

I know Wizzley's rank on Alexa doesn't mean a flying flip in the grand scheme of things. But after reading Jo's tips after 550 pages article, I decided to download the toolbar. I live on here anyway, I might as well do something.

It seems to me when I first downloaded it that Wizzley was ranked somewhere in the upper 50,000's in the US, but now I see it's down to just under 48,000. Could we have really have improved that quickly, or was I mistaken?

I was just wondering if anybody is keeping an eye on it.

Yes, we did see some improvement over the last few months, but your first sentence has some truth to it as well.  

Yep, we've been steadily rising for months. :)  Risen over 4000 places internationally since that Tips and Tricks article. <3

Yep, just taking a look at my stats I see a really awesome rise in traffic :) January is off to a real flying start.

Could Wizzley not join quantcast?  Quantcast gives you much more accurate views of traffic, because it puts a pixel on every page of the site, so it measures real views.

But you have to allow quant cast to do that, which I think is free.

Would be great if we could see how the site is really doing.

Yeah I second that. At least in terms of numbers highs and lows. Wizzley can set most viewed pages and keywords to private so that others don't see them

My traffic seems to be steadily getting higher over the past few months.  It began the climb on November 28th and shows no sign of abating. These last couple of weeks have seen some of my highest hits ever (ignoring that day when the Reddit thing happened).

I thought to check Alexa.   Wizzley is currently at 58,593 globally, it was in the 60k for ages. Apparently we shot up by 7,454 places in the ranking today.

I came here to see what it was when Abby first posted.  But she'd only mentioned the US figures. That's 32,503 now!  Yet just gone into the 40k a month ago.

Saw what anitalite and Brandon had to say about Quancast, so checked out there too.  Then nearly fell off my seat:

What the frig just happened?! And can it keep on happening please?

I've also spotted at least three different people, who were around a year or two ago, suddenly coming back to Wizzley after all that time.

Kind of encouraging, isn't it?

I'm glad your traffic is doing so well. Mine has flatlined since the end of December and shows no signs of life. Lol

great to hear wizzleys coming up in the world though!
