What is the best gift you have ever gotten (has to be a material item--can't say husband or some such)?

My favorite gift was my new computer bag.  I carry my computer all over the place, and the bag I had was literally tearing at the seams.  My husband bought me a shiny new one that I am now working on wearing out.Smile

Nothing fancy except it holds my laptop and all the other stuff I pile in there.

Mine was an expensive laptop lap-desk with cushions at the bottom and squishy pads for to rest my weary palms while writing. I actually found it and told my wife that that's what I wanted it. (She does not get hints and neither do I, so we just tell each other what we want.)

Mine was a gift box of original German wieners. You can't get the real thing in Austin, Texas, so my wife ordered them from Nueske's in Wisconsin. Boy are they good! And what a great Christmas dinner...bringing up memories from the good old homeland.

I'm easy to please. ($35)

A towel warmer for the bathroom. We live in a big and drafty house and the bathroom just never seems to get warm. So Matt gave me a big towel warmer that heats up huge towels.

The very best gift goes back a few decades maybe 4 or 5 decades....some of you weren't even born yet.

The hippest girls had white go-go boots (think ShinDig dancers). I wanted a pair in the worst way! My Mom could not afford a pair even when I told her that she didn't have to get me anything else...just those boots.

Christmas morning...no boots under the tree. Crushed, I was simply crushed. Off we go to Grandma's for family dinner and a gift exchange. Seems my Uncle had gotten my name in the drawing that year and even though they were way above the spending limit...I got those boots!
