Hi all,

I've made a website primarily to support my Zazzle store, but I've also got my articles in there too.    I was hoping that you'd have a look please.   Any feedback is gratefully received.  <3

Beautiful Britain

Thanks!

yours

Jo

Thanks Lana. :)

I'm such a lazy git.  I'm fluent in HTML, yet I'm using a free 'website-by-numbers' thing.   Unrepentant!

Good start!

Need more on the front page introduction.

Suggest you add a Wizzley referral ad to the 'What do you do' page.

The header pictures are great.

You need an about / privacy page if you want G to be kind to you. You also will need a disclaimer (like that on each of your Wizzley articles (at the bottom)) about how the site earns money.

If you can (and I don't know the platform you are using) I would also add:

  • 'Add To Any' (or similar)
  • link icons to your FB page, G+, Twitter, Pinterest etc accounts
  • Google translate [gtw plugin]
  • 'Google search site'
  • subset of your Rebelmouse
  • Zazzle Panels (the ones that use similar to the following code:

[
<embed src="http://www.zazzle.com/utl/getpanel?tl=XXXXXXXX%27s%20Store%20at%20Zazzle&ch=XXXXXXXX&st=POPULARITY" FlashVars="path=http://www.zazzle.com/assets/swf/zp/skins" width="450" height="300" wmode="transparent" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" />

btw you can change these parameters [width="450" height="300"] to ones that fit your requirements
]

wherever you can.

Hope this helps a bit.

Great site Jo.  I love the page where you link to all the Zazzle international buttons.

Thank you all, especially Chaz.  I've done some more tinkering with it based on that list that you've provided.

What is 'add to any'?    Also the Wizzley referral links are already embedded into every Wizzley link on that page. :D

I'm struggling to think what to write for the first page introduction.    Obviously I can waffle on for hours, but I also know that front pages do well being simple.

Add to Any - see http://share.lockerz.com/

Wizzley - a specific referral ad would help.

First page: too much white space - could that be where you incorporate Rebelmouse for instance?

Just gonna have another look at your site.

Thank you.  I took your advice and that's now in too. :)

That looks a lot more 'established' and it has given the casual reader much more to follow through to - backlinks and opportunities NOT to bounce.

It looks good to me.

Thank you very much.

I'm still messing with buttons, but when I've finished exploring I'll write a guide here on how to use Weebly.  It's relatively easy to throw up a site there.

Very impressive!

In estimated round numbers....or per hour....what would I expect to pay someone to set up a website like this for me?....  I have so many ideas but get so overwhelmed with the thought of every single little step that needs to be taken to set up a nice site.  Guess it is my ADD!  Regardless, I have been tossing that idea around in my head for awhile .  If it would be cost effective or worth it?  I would love to be able to make a living from home so I could be there for the 4 kids (2 special needs kids) too.  I have a couple of blogs that I set up on Blogger but have not even updated for awhile.  Need to get back on that!  But they are very simple and really just something I threw together so that I could try to figure some of this out.

I honestly think that you could chuck something like this together.   It's here:  http://www.weebly.com

It's very much a website-by-numbers thing, which is why I was embarrassed at the beginning.  I'm fluent in coding, but this wasn't one of those.  You choose a template and you drag elements into it.  Give it a go and if you're struggling, then we'll talk.

But I will write an article for Wizzley about it soon, which might help.

I now think that I've finished the site, except for updating the blog every now and again.

Would you mind having one final look to see if it's all good from your points of view please?   Thanks in advance!

Excellent; and you're welcome.  Thanks for the link to you too.

And if anyone else has mentioned my store anywhere, please do tell me and I'll add that too. <3
