Frankenkeemie and FrightOwl, ghoulish alter-egos of our regular gatekeepers, would like to invite all wizards and wizardresses of Wizzley to the Scariest Avatar pageant.

If your normal avatar isn't scary enough, try picmonkey.com, the reincarnation of picnik.com for those who remember. With their wicked set of ghastly themes, it should be a snap to zombify, witchify, vampirify or otherwise ghoulify your inner monster.

Then introduce your dreadful creation here for some frightful fun. Happy Halloween season!

I have no idea what I've come as, some kind of witchy, Morrighan vampire, but I had so much fun making it!

you have to click the image icon, then click the img link to open a new tab with the imgbox.com site in it. It should also switch to that tab when you click the link... set the top 3 boxes (I always use don't create, 350x350, and safe for family in the drop boxes, upload the image then it will give you a url to the image on the top left, copy that and go back to the img icon (usually I see it as a second window on the task bar, I'm using chrome though) and enter the url you copied into the url box and hit insert. It will show up in the forum window, if it's too big for the window it will be cut off.

What I do there is uplaod a large image to imgbox and when it gives me the link it also shows a preview of the picture, that preview I right click and save to my HD. I then repeat the process with THAT image (it's resized basically to a perfect forum window size that way),  copy the new url and paste it into the url box in the image window in the forum (add image)...

I made a tutorial for using img to add a picture (less the second tip for resizing fast)...

How To Insert An Image Into Wizzley's Forum

Arlene, you don't have to create an account, that's the beauty of it- you can just land on imgbox.com (that link takes you there too), and upload your image, set the three drop boxes, and upload- then the link on the top lefft will be the the url you put into wizzley's forum image box/add image box- where it asks for image url.

I was wondering when you were going to watch that! I made it specifically for your page :) it was my first go at a cooking video... I just finished an amazing motorcycle "ride" video for boosting mental stamina (when writing is hard sometimes just escaping on a journey helps)... thinking about building a wizzle around the idea...

Okay.

I read your tutorial and also got to see your video on making croutons!

Anyway, I got as far as establishing an account and loading my photographs.

How do you get the original/first document back so that you can add the copy (http://)?  This is where I left off.  I wasn't able to paste so that the photographs are seen on the Forum.

Have you tried copying the HTML code of your image on imagebox, and then pasting it into the HTML window of your forum post?

1. Highlight the HTML code of your image on imagebox

2. Copy the code by selecting 'copy' from your browser's edit menu

3. In your forum post's editor window, click on the HTML button in the editor's tool bar (top left)

4. Paste the image code into the pop-up window, right after any text you've written, and before the last "<p> </p>" characters (Again, place your cursor to the spot where you want the code to appear, then use your browser's edit menu and select 'paste'.)

5. Save the HTML window

6. Save the editor's window

Arlene, I made that video specifically so you could post it on your crouton wizzle, no transfer necessary just create a youtube module and insert the video url I left in your comments on that page...

On the image, I think you're trying to copy paste the image itself and that doesn't work- you copy paste the url into the img box on wizzley, are you trying to copy the url (not the picture itself) and it's not letting you?

Dimon and Hansferatu

Wohoho! The transformation of Hansferatu and Dimon is complete now. We are waiting for you!!!

Around this time of year, Hans usually turns into some sort of bathtub demon. And I as long as I'm not getting hungry, I never loose my smile, hehehe!

p.s.: Thanks Anne for helping us show our inner selves :-D

I noticed that imagebox appears to have problems at the moment. You can also use photobucket.com for the same purpose (it's what I usually use) or picasa. You do need a (free) account though, but they are very reliable.

Thanks Anne, you were faster than us! We were just figuring it out :)

For imgbox, only thumbnails of up to 350 px side length are allowed for hotlinking. Possibly something has changed there. I can't remember that limit ...
