Happy Winter Solstice (and the beginning of a new Mayan cycle)

Could this be the real start of the 'Age of Aquarius'?

Personally I'm a Gaian - which you may have guessed from my 'moniker' - and the Winter Solstice heralds the start of longer days and a steady passage into a new year. The cycle of life goes on and it is time for us all to stand up and make sure that new life (as well as old) is nurtured to the fullest extent of our capabilities.

The last month has seen my family grow by two great granddaughters, one great grandson, and one grandson. A lot of my time will be allocated to nurturing them.

Happy Winter Solstice!  As a Wiccan, this is a big day for me too.

It's a good time for reflecting upon where we are and where we want to be next year.  Fun times!

Seasons Greetings to all. As some may be aware yesterday was also the Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere which also means it was the longest day of the year for sunlight, so each day now gets shorter for us :(
