I think the reason that our forums are so quiet, is that there's nothing to complain about. If you look at the activity in many other sites, the forums are a hotbed of discontent. Whenever I have a Wizzley question, it's answered by the admins very promptly. When there's an issue it's dealt with quickly, honestly, and in an open manner.
That means we spend more time writing and less time on the forum. That's a good thing. I guess we could try and get in the habit of post small pieces of happiness. So people who are considering writing here could see that we're just a bunch of Happy Campers.

There are a couple of sites where there are a lot of complaints lately. I know what you mean.

Great answer, Digby. Thanks!

I agree with that analysis! Better a quiet, tumbleweed-type forum than a bitch fest. I've seen those, they are not nice....very hurtful.
I am feeling happy because I saw Dolly Parton on tv at Glastonbury! Yeehaw!

I'll join this party.
I'm feeling happy because I have made it to the other side of my work deadline in one piece and I'm anticipating a week off next week with friends and me-time in equal quantities.
Described by one of my clients as 'a literary grammarian', writing, researching and reading are requirements for sanity, at least this side of the keyboard.

I'd agree with that. Forums are often a place for people to air their complaints and annoyances, in the hope that someone up high will listen. There's a forum I'm on daily that has that happening as I type.
I did wonder whether we should get a monthly goal thread started on here. Maybe we could discuss what goals we have for writing on Wizzley, or what we would like to see in income? Would people be interested in something like that? It might keep up more accountable.

A monthly goal thread sounds like a great idea.

She was absolutely amazing. I wasn't going to go, as there was stuff on in the Leftfield, but my friend talked me into it. I've rarely seen the Pyramid THAT packed out. It was quite a trek to find a good spot to see her, but totally worth it. I enjoyed every second and I only knew two songs!
