I haven't been around here much lately. My mother has been in and out of the nursing home and hospital. I just got back from a short but enjoyable visit with my kids in CA. I'm now suffering from the flu that I caught on the airplane. I always get a flu shot, but the flu got me before I got it this year. I plan to start writing again when I'm feeling better. Would anyone like to bring me some chicken soup? It would be greatly appreciated. Brenda Reeves

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Brenda, but I'm glad you got to visit your family. I would love to bring you chicken soup. I'd send it but it would probably ooze out all over the post office. I had a wonderful visit this summer, too, from all three of my sons, one with wife and kids -- my granddaughters. Nothing can replace seeing them in the flesh. I hope you feel better soon.

I finally went to the Dr. today. I wasn't getting any better and developed conjunctivitis yesterday. Got some eye drops and antibiotics. Modern medicine is wonderful. Thanks for all the well wishes. Brenda Reeves

I think I got the flu plenty of times when I was young, but not since junior high i think. Sometimes I would just have to throw up at night, and then everything would be pretty much better by morning(but I would get to miss school:)). I don't know that I've ever gotten a week long flu before, but I hope you get better soon, or maybe you've already gotten better by now. I guess this thread was posted over 13 days ago, so that probably is true. |

Yeah i got pink eye from my cousins once. It's so crazy how you wake up and it's so hard to open your eyes. |
