Lovely Surprise on Zazzle

I've been working on my much neglected Zazzle store recently, as you might have gathered from the article I wrote here about it.

Earlier on, I was chatting with someone who asked me what I did this weekend.   I said, "I'll show you."   Then pulled up my store.  She made all of the right noises about the pretty new lay-out (thanks Ember) and banner (thanks Paul), and oohhhed a bit over my products too.  Then went on her way.

So far, so banal.  But as I came to close the tab, I noticed something.  I was on Zazzle.co.uk.   I'd just searched Zazzle and my store name to get there.   The whole store was made on Zazzle.com.   But the company themselves reproduced it completely on the British version too, with sterling instead of dollars.

I didn't know that they did that!   Colour me happy!

Just thought I'd share, as I know that half of Wizzley followed Pam into making Zazzle stores, if only to maximize their profits on monetizing Wizzley articles. :D

I'm gonna need to send you an updated version of that banner, I've just noticed a strip of orange in the top left and to be honest it's driving me mental.

Jo, look at

http://www.zazzle.com/international

and you will find all the countries where your .com zazzle store contents will be promoted using ccTLDs (country code top level domains). Zazzle produces the products you create locally and distributes them from within each of these countries.

That's one of the reasons why Zazzle is so successful in selling your products.

I have had sales in $, £ and Euros so far, all converted to my payment currency. Great eh!

Thanks Paul. <3

And wow!  Thanks Chaz!  I didn't realise that this was even bigger.  I'm well impressed by that. :D

Zazzle is all over the world.  It's pretty cool, but can get confusing (to me anyway) when dealing with customer from another country.  Shipping can be quite expensive for some also.

I believe that all products ship from California and there are no other distribution sites.

I must look up your store Jo - new banner?  I wish I had friends to help me out!! I think it took me 2 years to figure out how to make my own banners and I still have trouble...!  Cry

Also, there is an international section in the Z forum which is pretty cool.

EDIt to say... Love that banner!!
