I mentioned this in another thread, but didn't want to go on about it over there.  Instead I'd like you guys to know that I made a little over $30 in one day through Viglink with click outs to Zazzle.

I am only telling you so you can see (like I now do) that Viglink can definitely make us money.  I have begun looking into it more as it sometimes takes me a while to totally understand something.  A couple writers here have good pages with info if you need a refresher.

But why would you use Zazzle through VigLink? Don't you get more revenue linking to them directly through the Zazzle module?

As for VigLink itself, I'm thinking of trying it myself, but am not clear on one thing, as far as I can tell for now. If I delete my Amazon.com affiliate ID from Settings, as nightowl says we should if we want to get our Amazon.com commision through VigLink, what happens to the pages where I have used the Amazon module to create links? Will they stop generating commissions?

Mira I don't know the answer to your question about the modules and removing our Amazon ID.  I would like to know the answer to that too.

As far as Zazzle goes, I make direct sales from sending customers to my stores through Wizzley.  According to analytics Wizzley is the top place that sends me customers.  I seldom ever make a referral sale at Zazzle, so I don't care if I use the Zazzle module here.  Even when my items are purchased from the many various places I have linked them (not only Wizzley), Zazzle referrals are just not happening.

A lot of times what I do when advertising my Zazzle stuff here, I take a screenshot of the item to add to the text module and then make a text link (without my Zazzle referral code) that goes to the item.  I am assuming that is how I got the Viglink credit for the purchase.

Hi again Pam,

When you say "I seldom ever make a referral sale at Zazzle, so I don't care if I use the Zazzle module here" what do you mean by "here"? Zazzle? As in what exactly? Zazzle forum somewhere on Zazzle?

Interesting that you got VigLink credit for a purchase without the VigLink module!

Hope someone will let us know about Amazon.com as well.

The links are created dynamically every time the page loads. In the case of Amazon links (module or not), the  decision whether to use VigLink (VL) or your Amazon Associate (AA) links depends on your settings. If you have an AA tag then that's what we'll use. If that field is left empty then we'll use your VL ID, if you provided one.

You don't need to recreate or change any existing modules if you decide to switch from AA to VL. It is done automatically depending on your current settings.

From what I understand, at Wizzley the Zazzle module will include our referral code so sales through it will -possibly- result in referral money.  I think it is split with Wizzley - I'd have to go read it, but no matter - Referral money at Zazzle comes from referring my own products and those made by others - any place off the Zazzle site as long as my own Zazzle code is attached to the link.  Hopefully when I make a sale at Zazzle that came through Wizzley (Squidoo, my blog, etc.) I would also get extra (15%) for referring that sale.  But that seldom happens.

I don't mind using text links - without my code attached - (not using the Zazzle module here at Wizzley) if Viglink will pick up the link and I can possibly make money that way.

I hope I am explaining this correctly and I am sure someone will jump in if I am mistaken.

There is not a "Viglink module" to use.  Viglink will automatically pick up on the links we make if the site (like Zazzle) is part of their affiliated merchants.

I am interested in what you say about viglink and zazzle, Dustytoes. You are saying that by using viglink you get both the referral commission through viglink and the royalty for sale of your own product on zazzle. That is good news!

Not necessarily your own product.   It could be your own or something else the customer ends up buying at Zazzle.  At least that is how I understand it.

In my case one of the products was wedding paper and I don't know what the other 2 were.
