I see a lot of new members that have signed up for some time and haven't written anyhting yet.

i know I've given some support to a few referrals and waited to see .

Anyone else notice this?

Are they going to be deleted after a certain time?

No, we don't delete those accounts. Who knows what their situation is? Maybe they just want to read everything in the forum, etc. We'll wait and see.  :)

Sometimes people sign up for a site, then get sidetracked, and come back later and write.

Sometimes people sign up for a site just to use the forums, to leave a comment, or just because they thought it offered something different to what they found.

If you look at Hubpages, there are literally thousands of accounts that have never written a single hub.

Sometimes they sign up so that they can contact us with an e-mail after having read one of our articles. I have had 3 people do that. They really don't have any intention of writing here on Wizzley...just wanted to ask me a question. Two wanted a "free" appraisal on some items they had and the other was really cool...she is the daughter of the artist that I wrote about.

Like my father always told me,

You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink!

While I haven't referred anyone to Wizzley yet over the years I got a few hubbers, about 50 and only 3 if that write...and only 1 is actually active in the long run.

Its hard to convince people you can actually make money writing at places like these. I even shared my amazon sales and showed the receipt from Google Adsense and still people are like "No, money doesn't generate online."

Well, for what it's worth, I have signed up over a month ago, and just now got around to writing a couple pages.

It always takes a bit of an effort to start on a new platform, figure out what the requirements are, etc. And  for someone who has never written before, just figuring what to write about, might be daunting...

I wish more new members would take the time and read our requirements before they start writing. Yep.
