Did somebody have fresh news from Evelyn - Vermont?

It looks like 11 towns are completely isolated now, the river destroys  bridges, and some army helicopters try to drop supplies for them.

It is awful what happen there especially because the situation wasn't  predicted... so NO evacuation or any other protection measure...

All the best for them

Michey

I haven't heard anything about Evely yet, but we just got power back yesterday, so I am catching up on cleaning up around home and online.  Amazing to see all that has happened around us, as you know, Michey.  We had a torrent go through the property, but had prepared with sandbags etc for 3 days ahead...dry inside, a little erosion, thanks to all the preparation. You live close enough to know what has been happening around us.  My son works in Little Falls, his company was spared but it has been hard to get to work.  My husbands company was flooded.  Sister was evacuated, basement flooded just missed reaching first floor, to many stories, but compared to so many we are thankful.

Michey, just remembered that susan52 (Susan Deppner) had posted this to my facebook page:

"Evelyn Saenz in Vermont is safe but roads are washed out, they're without power (and running water), and many neighbors are flooded..."

I was also thinking of Evelyn as she is not that far from me (I'm in southwestern NH) and today 9-5 we are expecting more, possibly flooding, rain!  Vermont and northern NH are a mess and we surely don't need another storm.
